For most people it is a pretty song . I know songs that even are old,old hymns, and prayers , and a lot of culture affected stuff. What with yours "spirituals" needs to have more "respect" than other songs, hymns or such?

Music is always divided, what is nice for someone, is not great for another. Wich we just should deal with, a emotion or feeling can not be corrected or debatet like we had an wrong and right answer.

Idk if yall know this but this was a Slave spiritual used for slaves to excape back in the 1800's in the US. Not only is this song really good, it was used for a good reason
Yeah and it feels to me it's not supposed to be sung in such a utterly sexy manner. It's not a song where you show off your skills, it's a song that slaves hummed because the owners would not let them sing... So this song is supposed to serve a pain-relief...

This is by far my most listened to auditions since auditions began. This song and her voice are like a holy synergy
First this is fantastic. However, this is not even close to being the most listened to audition ... Susan Boyle has over 255 MILLION views of her audition on Britain's Got Talent. Angelina Jordan singing Bohemian Rhapsody on America's Got Talent 44 MILLION and counting, her Norway's Got Talent has 7 million watches. Karise Eden on The Voice Australia has 44 MILLION. Love Sarah's audition, say it's the best you've ever heard ... but the hyperbole that it is the most listened to of all time wasn't even close.

I like how more people aren't outraged of the culture appropriation that actually took place. Then again I don't expect people from Norway to understand what a slave spiritual song is. And to jazz up something like this is kicking someone while they are down.
I fully respect your point of view, and your feelings towards this interpretation. But are there someone who somehow has the "right" to perform this jubilee song? Or should it rather be forgotten.. Jazz has its origins in Afro American culture, and this song was jazzed up already in the sixties.
@@brand7549 There's not a different interpretation of this song. This song has a specific meaning behind it. It was a warning to slaves. The right to sing it is not the issue....the meaning and why it was sung is. You can't dress up the holocaust and make it seem like it was just an okay time for people. None of this will be forgotten, the least that could be done is to know the meaning of the song and credit the creator of the song...not the revisions.

Mas acho as línguas latinas muito mais doces, porque são mais fonéticas.

No entanto eu vejo o Voice do Brasil e fico sempre espantado com a qualidade de muitos concorrentes!! A questão é que a Noruega tem apenas 5 milhões de habitantes! Portugal tem 11 milhões e o Brasil tem 220 milhões!! O que eu quero dizer é que é muito mais encontrar vozes boas no Brasil, principalmente, mas também em Portugal!!
