This must be from an episode of Thank Your Lucky Stars in 1966. The programme used to be broadcast from the Alpha Studios Birmingham and Teddington Studios in London. It was made by ABC TV. The ABC logo is behind Cliff as he walks across the studio floor.
@@mark070961 It is indeed, but I'm fairly sure that this clip was filmed specially for the programme - albeit probably in the TYLS studio. My mate Kev Mulrennan wrote a well-researched book on TYLS, and he doesn't think it's from the show either.
@@MrLaydownsally I wonder if they wrote the song for them to record first before they had a crack at it. Because sometimes that happens, even with I Wanna Be Your Man (ironically also a Stones song as well as a Beatles song). Because the Stones did I Wanna Be Your Man first before The Beatles decided to have a version with Ringo’s vocal.
UNDERCOVER: 500 ROLLING STONES COVER VERSIONS THAT YOU MUST HEAR! A new book by Peter Checksfield. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BLR44FS5
@@peterchecksfield9958 I wonder if Otis Redding’s version of I Can’t Get No Satisfaction and Marianne Faithful’s As Tears Go By are among them.
@@kennnethtreistman1973 Of course, but buy the book to find out who else! : )
Miss the Shadows so much. Thank you very much for sharing this great one love it 💯❤️❤️❤️👌 God bless Cliff and the Shadows 🙏
Great song and that's the best version of it.
This is so great! My favorite song on the tape cassette with all the Cliff hits, which my father used to play in his car (a long long time ago)
a very very perfect cover 😀
One of the best ever crossovers Stones snd CLIFF🎉🎉🎉
Nice upload Peter and congrats on your latest book.
Thank you Lucio (I included 5 songs by Jerry Lee Lewis in the book, more than anyone else except Chris Farlowe who has 7 songs!).

No it's not, read description: Cliff Richard video is from ‘ABC of ABC: A Souvenir With Music’, broadcast 30th April 1966.
@@peterchecksfield9958 This show was a compilation of clips of shows produced by ABC Television.

Hang in there Cliff 😂😅
What an arrangement compared to The Rolling Stones. Hey! They’re both great!
Nice one, Peter. Good luck with the book
I had never heard this until I bought an old British invasion compilation LP. Love it!
I prefer the Stone‘s version of the song 😊
1st or 2nd version?
Superb!
Love his "British Invasion" look. 🙂
His 40th UK hit by the time of 1966..!
Sorry it does not even and remotely come close to the stones' version. This does not take away the talent of Cliff Richards and the shadows.
Great
Burns
I prefer the Rolling Stones version!
1st or 2nd version?
Ich finde auch die Stones besser. Aber ist eben Geschmacksache
One of Cliff and The Shadows finest!

Best of luck with the book.
The Mighty Avengers. Did the original version of it
It was a Mick Jagger/Keith Richards song
Actually, the first person to release it on record was Tracey Dey.
jagger richards as good songwriters as lennon mcartney
Rolling Stones do this as well!! I like their version.
Yes they wrote it , doesn't suit the stones though 🤔
