At the time of this interview in 1993, Maury had mentioned that the Tate family, were the only family members who attended the parole hearings. However years later, that's not case anymore. Jay Sebring's nephew began to attend the parole hearings, also Steven Parent's sister, the LaBianca's niece, nephew and grandson. It's a shame that any of the family members have attend these parole hearings to give impact statements to keep their loved ones killers behind bars at all. If California hadn't done with the death penalty in 1972, everyone of these Manson killers including Manson himself, would have been executed years ago and would be dead now. The victim's family members would have had their closure, instead of every few years having to relive their pain over again and over again each time that they attend these parole hearings.

Marcia Hooley yes, that is true. And in most of the states, DP inmates get to fight their sentence too. At the taxpayer’s expense. It’s ridiculous. But, the one good thing about getting death, even if it takes 20 years for the sentence to be carried out, is that is a miserable, isolated, claustrophobic existence. Day after day of 23 hours in a tiny cell the size of the average compact car. At least there is that punishment. No socializing, no human contact, no free college degrees....just long, empty hours of nothingness.

theapeman2004 That is very true These people should be dead and the 9 victims would rest in peace and not haunt the places that they died at or in
because I know for a fact that the house that Sharon died in was demolished in 1994 ,but the house next door was built 5 years and completed in 2002 after that and is said to be haunted at the home of David Oman at 10066 Cielo Drive

Actually, if you read Sharon's autopsy, it states she was stabbed by two different knives. The evidence would suggest both Tex AND Susan stabbed Sharon. Susan was messed up before Manson, she admitted to stabbing Sharon in the beginning anyway, then changed her story when she realised she didn't like prison...

Cristina Garcia - Susan Laberge was also friend with Watson before the killing. I think there is a deeper meaning as to why she goes. The Labiancas had just returned from a family vacation the day they died. The LAPD reported that Tex Watson had spoken with someone from a payphone near their house the day of the killings. I e always felt she tipped him off. It’s not uncommon for children of wealthy parents to want their parents dead for the inheritance. Nothing was investigated further than that, but it is highly suspicious.

I am so glad that prosecutor Steven Kay clarified that Manson and his followers were not hippies. They have always been described as that. The hippy movement was opposed to violence and the Vietnam War. Peace and Love was their motto. Manson posed as a hippy but in reality he was an ex convict who had learned how to manipulate people while in prison. He was an admirer of Hitler and wanted to start a race war between blacks and whites. Manson was angry because Terry Melcher would not give him a recording contract so this was probably him taking his frustrations out on other people and a warning to Melcher. The Manson family have always been used against the flower power era. Yet there was a lot of violence, rape torture and death in Vietnam at the time. Both the Vietnamese and US soldiers were killed and maimed. The hippy movement was about ending this, not killing movie stars.

Helter-Skelter is a Beatles song (The White Album) that Manson used to teach his "kids" about the future. They used blood of one of their victims to write it on the wall of one crime scene. For Manson, almost every song on that album had a meaning connected with the events he was foreseeing for his idea of the future. Because the meanings were "coded", Manson had to explain them for his followers; like sheep they followed. Also check out Helter Skelter by Victor Bugliosi (who sent them to jail).

In March 1977, film director Roman Polanski was arrested and charged in Los Angeles with five offenses against Samantha Gailey a 13-year-old girl - rape by use of drugs, perversion, sodomy, lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14, and furnishing a controlled substance to a minor. At his arraignment Polanski pleaded not guilty to all charges, but later accepted a plea bargain whose terms included dismissal of the five initial charges in exchange for a guilty plea to the lesser charge of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse.
Polanski underwent a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation, and a report was submitted to the court recommending probation. However, upon learning that he was likely to face imprisonment and deportation, Polanski fled to France in February 1978, hours before he was to be formally sentenced. Since then Polanski has mostly lived in France and has avoided visiting countries likely to extradite him to the United States.

Well then it's clear that the term helter skelter is not associated with wicca. Its origins are from somewhere though

@Hanzey666 I agree that it is not the answer-all-questions book, but he does list a lot of documented facts that blatantly contradict the talentless weasel who has never had an original thought in his life. Thanks for commenting!

technically Manson is not a serial killer by FBI definition. Susan, TeX and Katie were the serial killers because they killed 2 or more killings, that is the definition of a serial killer.

There are alot of videos out there where people have looped something for 10 hours or so. Someone should do that with the sequence 5:27-5:38.

  • @djbethell

Yeah, let's never get emotional about people being abused, tortured and then murdered. Emotion? What a pointless, worthless thing!
Yep, they've a right to a parole hearing and the've also the right to hear "NO!" every time which is what they keep hearing, 'cause emotion is never separable from crime! We're not robots. But they were. If we turn off our emotions we are all capable of the crimes they committed and we're also capable of paying the price those crimes bring. We own our life choices.

2dboy, that's harsh. Can't you be a little more polite? I know you're addressing the less educated, but that should make you a little more easy on them. Being nasty or angry will just make them close up more and be more adamant and defensive in their (warped) views. You may break them from their bad thought pattern if you're little kinder; a bit more understanding and you may lead them out of that dark shit they're in.
P.S. But I completely understand your initial response. Peace, my friend!

  • @YungZ905

ok well you said that if a person is up for parole and they say sorry then that makes them smooth actor, when if you did use your common sense you would know that there are remorseful ppl out there and they say sorry from the heart.

And sadly, so did Doris Tate. Was that *her* karma?
SA was allowed to live another 40y, marry 2x with conjugal visits. I’d hardly call that karma. TW is still alive and has four children. More than Sharon ever had the chance to do. Where’s his karma? In fact, all of these savage murderers have outlived the victims families, prosecuting atty and all others affected by their horrific murders
