Ling and Orm are affectionate towards each other, and to some degree, I do believe they are genuine and being themselves. 1 inertview stands out the most to me was on national tv when they kissed, in my opinion it's wasn't necessary but it happened. Ling later said in another interview that it wasn't planned and felt like doing it cos she was observing Orm that day. They haven't exactly friends zoned each other, nor have they officially announced a relationship. You're right they do have their own worlds, and we only see snippets.
