I know i shouldn't, but she make me compare her with mashiro. The one that trained for 2 years and left after she didn't make it to ITZY. The way she portrayed her difficult journey as a non-korean trainee (clearly lily too) make me raised eyebrows. In other word, i do personally think she give up on her dream too easily (just because she didn't make it to the line up that ONE time) contradict to what she claim. Lucky for her to be chosen as the debut-line still this time. Which make me wanna give mad respect for Lily... Thanks for staying Lily..

idk if how many JYPE groups you know but definitely their main vocalists are good in their respective generation (may not be the best vocalists but still on a good ranking). What's somehow hindering thier full potential is the technique (breathy) but overall they have wide range

We have no clue what kind of songs will the JYPn be. If I knew that Lily and Haewon would debut together in JYPn, and if the music is also good, this group will have a success guarantee with this strong line-up.

@@ananyaravichandran8648 because koreans don’t all sound like iu or baekhyun. there are voices like jungkook and taeyang and yedam and asahi from treasure and enhypen heeseung and txt yeonjun who just sound different and those are the voices I like. lily is the first female kpop idol to give me that same vibe and me personally I like that type of voice more so I wanna hear it more. it’s not an exclusively western thing it just happens to be that you find more of those singers in the west. but people born and raised in korea have those voices too and I wish they were shown more. edit: hwasa has that voice too and hyolyn

Nah they have had vocalists like this... but they didn't know what to do with them. Jamie and Baek Yerin. And Baek Ayeon has a softer sound, but she has vocal prowess as well. They have a better handle on girl groups though, and now we are getting stronger vocals in one. Super excited tbh!

They never took away her original sound with that "half air half voice" technique like they did with other vocalists. They just never let her drop music and that was problematic. JYP attempted 15&, and then tossed it. A few songs dropped, and a lot of time in between promotions. Then short promotion times on top of that. They probably have a bunch of her music locked up that will never get released.

But most singers tend to build on their voices and have a coach bc 1. safety and 2. typically people want to get better at their jobs, and in this case that's singing.

She’s really a natural singer; that feeling that she sings with can be refined but it can’t really be taught. Rare to see in Kpop, but she’s really talented and obviously worked hard, glad that she finally gets to put music out and debut in a group 😃

The reason why Lily is my most favorite vocalist in kpop is not because of her powerful technique but also *vocal tone* suits with her voice while singing that adds spice to her vocals. She doesn't have that typical Asian voice but Western voice that I haven't heard in kpop yet.

You’re def right, Lily has a really rich tone to her voice. It makes her so unique and different from others. She also has a really powerful voice that can achieve low notes, mixed notes, and high notes. And this is just the start as to why She’s my fav 4th gen singer of all times, I’m pretty sure she’s my fav out of all the other female K-pop singers, although many K-pop idols are very very very talented as well.

True. The line-up is already strong the entirety of the group and the seven individuals have proven their talents worthy. I just hope for better treatment. Quality songs that match their vocals and unique concept. Plus a hit banger debut song and quality mv. They'll prolly reach the success they deserve. I heard that this girl Lily is known for her vocals and wow, she just amazes me sooo much!!!! Her vocals are out of this world. Since she was young, she has always been such a good vocalist. I believe she'll be the main vocalist of the group. Her talent is just so insane, it's hard to explain. I honestly can't stop playing it, she's just that good. She reminds me a lot of Chan because she is also an Aussie just like him who left her family to train in JYP since she was young as well as the oldest member. As the oldest who has been training for a long period of time, I believe she's going to be the leader, and she's going to be an amazing one! I'm so happy to see that she's going to debut soon! She really deserves this so much. It's so cool to know that she's also the same age as me, a little older by less than 2 months! The C#5 was good and well supported while the D5 was rather nasal and didn't project well. She switched placements and it caused the sound to come out of her nose. But overall, her sustained notes are very promising.
