If Tekken x Street Fighter every happens I think it would be interesting to see how well some characters that aren't usually good in Street Fighter like Blanka would do in the Tekken engine.

It isn't just arslan she has been popping up more in top 8, and has been dominant when she is used, for the most part. Personally I dont think they really nerfed her that hard, She still does alot of what she used to do. I think that now the aftermath of the season 2 patch is really showing.
Its the same reason as Katarina's and Claudio's people already presumed from the patch notes that Katarina has been nerfed and Claudio is turned OP but that wasnt the case, Cladio turned out to be Ok and Katarina got quite buffed. The problem with season 2 was that people were making a fuss even before the patch came out.
To be honest, I feel like Akuma has no place on that list compared to all the others. Compared to the other characters nobody was playing akuma and we've only now seen somebody be successful with him with Super Akuma playing him.

Just how everyone said panda was low tier. But that’s far from true. Bears r better than a lot of characters. Super akuma showed us the broken cheap shit akuma can do. And him just as a character forces a play style and geese. And the slow play style is what they excel in.
Just because superakouma is having success with akuma doesnt put the char in top 5. It's a garbage character where u can occassionally do a pog combo or launch i10 and then ur back to being useless again. Steve >>>>>> akuma. Imho top5: steve dj geese jin kazumi, idk who to swap out law for though, hes obv super good too
If you have the execution, then Akuma shoots up there. With the execution, you almost always kill your opponent with a combo and maybe a poke or two. It's the same reason that Paul used to be considered top 5: one launch whilst in rage and you're done.
