@simms fishing products the front of the knees on my Headwaters pro waders seems to be different material than the back. Im seeing a few dark spots on the backs, but the fronts dont seem to change color when wetted..
Is there a method or product for repairing large areas of waders at the same time? For example if my waders are leaking around the circumference of the shins, can I use a paint brush to apply Aquaseal around the entire cuff for the several inches before it is taped to the neoprene booties? Thank you
what if it's a seam leak?, I was told by Simms that I have moisture between seams and they cannot be replaced but temporary fixed when sent in for inspection. Simms G4 waders
Hi Jacob...this video is intended to demonstrate basic wader repairs. If you have a seam leak, I would recommend reaching out to repairs@simmsfishing.com.
@@SimmsFishingProducts waders are now 6+ years old, way over repair limit. I had sent them in when they were 3 years old and was told by you guys that they are not fixable because of moisture between seams. "which I though was a product defect not user error". I had asked for a replacement pair but was declined, had waders shipped back and that was it. For the price of the G4 waders I would have expected better customer service.
Every time I sent my shoes or waders to SIMMS it was the same. Worn out, no repair. And always the gear was like new. And I'm talking about very expensive G3 Guide top models. Service is not existing.
Note to every fly fisher and hunters that were waders. Go on all the chats and find out how bad the Simms company has become since they sold to big corporate. Price went through the roof, Quality is absolutely terrible, and forget customer service. I had issues with 2 sets of waders. They said one was a factory defect and wanted to only give me a Simms in stone / online credit towards another pair. Of only $200.00 ... Um no know how it works it took me a year to get them to finally send me a new pair. My other pair they sent them back to me saying the life of the material has passed it limits.. 3 years was past their limits for a $700.00 geotex. Waders.????? I called and emailed and finally I just gave up. So would I as of now Patagonia waders have held up and I have heard good reviews on drift waders.
What is the best way to find a leak in non GoreTex waders?
Is this fix only for GoreTex waders?
Or does it work for non GoreTex waders also?

Can you use the UV aquaseel for this method?
Great video!
Do I need to wait for the alcohol to evaporate before applying the aquaseal?
When opening the Aquaseal it is necessary to keep it in the freeze.
?
I've emailed Simms wader repair twice now and have yet to receive a reply. Thanks guys!!!!!
do we have to put aquasure on each side , or just inside the waders? thanks for your answer
Do both sides for holes bigger than a pinhole. Might even want a patch if it's a significant hole
How do i fix delamination?
The alcohol doesn’t interfere with the Aqua seal? Seems pretty soaked with alcohol when you’re applying that
Thank you very much! Like 52

@@Jakes_Hooked_Up Simms uses Goretex, if Simms won't replace them contact Gore directly about their warranty.

Would be nice if he pointed out what to look for.
The internal membrane of the Gore-tex will show a black spot through the inside layer of the wader (why they are breathable). You cannot miss them.
Great video. What is the aquaseal product name?

What alcohol content should i use?
Hi Janne, Simms recommends using a high percentage (90-95%) rubbing alcohol.
Hi Janne...good question. We recommend 90%-95%
Tried vodka, no use, should be stronger.
Just let me get out my 10 gallon tank of rubbing alcohol out.
There is Simms and then there is the other option....NOTHING!
