the story behind the song is that it was written by their former drummer (melvin) for his ex girlfriend who left him. his girlfriend flew away to boston to pursue her career im not sure if thats the reason why she flew to boston. the last line of the chorus hits my heart "can you tell me how boston is like without me?" and that's why you love the drums. coz every beat has tons of genuine emotions of the drummer.
This is so college to me. Back when the music scene is dominated by both foreign and local bands. Punks and emos are " in ". Lyrics are deep and emotional. Before the hypebeasts and jejemon took over. 😂
This song is about the drummer Melvin's gf who had to break up with him because she was moving to Boston And she tried to justify it and tried to tell him that its not because her family disliked him But he knew otherwise So he made the song boston drama
It's very nice to know a foreign guy reacting one of the filipino bands, kinda makes me proud to be a filipino.. I can tell this guy really listens to real good music.. From philippines with love.. 🤘
Damn right about drums being the trademark of this band. Can't still comprehend it was 15 years ago since I use to listen to their album just for the heavy hitting drums and riffs, back when music have soul.
My classmate always listen to this song back then because the girl she likes was stolen by his friend. He ask that friend to help him to be with her but the girl went to his friend.
Alexisonfire might be one of their influences, considering the time frame as to when Alexisonfire started, compared to the period when they adopted this kind of sound.
The best part of this music is the ending! it is like I felt the fucking drama the painful and good memories they have. I feel empty when I am listening to this it feels like my heart is tearing apart I regret about everything I have done not good with my ex.
as a kid first time listening to this, it felt cool to listen to rock music. But then when you get old you get to notice how great the song structure/composition is.
The Lyrics is exceptional. It came from the heart, who ever wrote this song was really heart broken..lol Guitar and drums bass everything is phenomenal.
I just read it somewhere that this is by a true event i think the guitarist of this band has a gf at that time that she chose to go to boston and be apart from her bf 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ i dont know if its true
I have been binge watching your reactions and you did really good. I have enjoyed your reactions from all those vids. I would like you to react to one of their underrated songs - The Truth by Typecast or As Silent as Death I would really appreciate your thoughts and reaction about it

typecast were one the few bands who started emo revolution in the philippines way back early 2000..

Their ex-drummer Melvin, is one of the unorthodox drummers you’ll see... he bang his drums with his mid-stick handling skills...
and he's also the one who wrote this song.
