Honestly there are so many anime that are regarded as being "better" because their story is more fulfilling, but honestly the animation in this is better than many out there. They don't cut corners an rely on CGI, which can break immersion and look bad, and do it all by hand and it looks really good compared to other anime at its level or above.
I found the choice to go with the manga style black/white is incredible and makes the last fight so much more epic. To me the last fight is a hidden gem and will forever be for me one of the most epic anime fight despite how short it is

Ikki is a very cool character. Usually in ecchi animes, the protagonist is a pervert and dumb guy, but he's smart, brave, and a true gentleman ;)
