Interesting how Brian can play the Hammond and talk at the same time. . Does it also contain Hammond 935 and Model H Novachord samples? I see Ray Gerlich in the background, but where is Phu "Peter" Nguyen?
I’m curious about the keybed. My Hammond xk5 has the best feeling bed of any clone I played but my Sk2 was so bad it hurt my wrist and runs were a strain.
@@DandyDon1 FINALLY, another person GETS IT RIGHT! If it has an H on it, it is NOT a clone, but a continuation of a real Hammond Organ model line. And THAT, is from the president of Hammond USA ! 😊
H88, I have owned the XK3c with lower manual, and lightened up my rig with an SK-2 and Leslie Stuido 12, I have NO issues with one hand glissandos with either keybed, smooth as silk. Playing and owning many vintage Hammonds since 1963 and these newer models feel right. I have mine set to match the exact height of a vintage Hammond console when sitting on the bench. Perhaps you had an odd angle when playing the SK-2 ?
@@garysmith8455 That must have been said some time ago as many of us know that Mr. Manji Suzuki passed away in 2020. I've also heard that exact quote directly from "Ides of March" Scott May. However now we must answer to the "Queen Bee". ;)
Got mine about three weeks ago and the keybed is HORRIBLE, one of the worst, cheeziest plasticy synth keyboards I've ever played. I REALLY wanted to like this thing but I'm returning it. What a waste of an otherwise great concept. JUNK!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
The M series had smaller range keyboards. If you're playing in a band, it might be a better use of range to not be way down in the bass register anyway - at least for some users.
got it for my 18th birthday this year, a great instrument, i'm really satisfied with it
This video came out great !! Thanks Sebastian

I can't help but thinking this is a cut down version of the SK1.
I feel like they should make a desktop version with all of the IO. It would be a great competitor against the crumar desktop.
Diving board keys???
That's being polite. The keybed on this thing is one of the worst I've ever played.

The XK5 is not a clone, it bares the name Hammond.

There's no excuse for these not to have waterfall keys.
This models the diving board keys of the L100's and some M models, is why "M"-Solo. True Hammond legacy.
As soon as they release a 61 key version. I'll be interested. Otherwise it sounds awesome!
same
humm sound cool but without waterfall there's not a option for me....
Why only 49 keys I gotta have it lol

If only Dr. Lonnie Smith was still alive and well to perform another day.
Nice....
People play just with one hand because it is writen '' Solo '' ... lol
You can't imagine what happen if I fix a '' foot '' on the logo .
It looks cheap though
