Thank you Leila! Your authenticity and originality has set you apart. I always look forward to your videos; done with so much class, taste and enlightening information. Great job! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hello Leila. :) I believe you'd be interested to watch a recent UA-cam video, detailing fragrance company and retail company profits. On April 2, 2022, the UA-cam channel, Claire Smith, posted a video titled "Why are perfumes reformulated? Fragrance Reformulation IFRA Rules." In the context of discussing that companies sometimes reformulate fragrances to maximize profits, at minute 07:14, Claire shows a pie graph breaking down all of the costs of fragrances that customers pay, including the percentages of profits. I had no idea how inexpensive the actual bottles and fragrance juice are! I thank you sincerely for making your recommendations for inexpensive fragrances. Of course it's fun to buy expensive bottles of perfume from time to time. But for those of us who enjoy collecting a wide variety of perfumes, knowing how to stretch our fragrance budget by purchasing high quality inexpensive fragrances is the key to our enjoyment! Thank you so much for sharing what you know! Have a lovely day. All the best to you and yours! 🦋🧡🦋
Thank you for all your suggestions! YOU are the hidden gem and not the fragrances!!! You have a hypnotizing way of explaining the notes and such a trained nose..you deserve the best!!!
Oh, what a coincidence, I tried on Raindrops today at the mall in Cairo, and I thought how beautiful it was now this is the second video I'm watching of yours tonight where you mention it. I guess that's my sign! Thanks dear 😘 ❤️
Thank you! I enjoy your reviews and I appreciate you finding similar to the very expensive fragrances ones and also your reviews on different fragrances that one either doesn’t ever hear about or not very much. 💜
Thanks for mentioning the fragrances that are unisex, it's very helpful for your male viewers. Love the content of your videos. Keep up the good work. 😉👌
Thank you! I received my Dolce & Gabbana The Only One Eau du Parfum Intense today, and I am in love with it. I have been wishing to own the Rouge Malachite but could not afford it. I am so happy with this blind buy, and will be using it now since it is winter at the moment where I am staying
I love how you described our emotional connection. I think that's why I'm so fascinated with fragrance. Thank you so much. Your videos are well done! 🤍
A Scent is so good! Its an unusual watery freshness due to the hyacinth. It’s not citrusy, not soapy, not floral or aldehydic, but the snappy green freshness like what you’d imagine the essence of bamboo to be like. I prefer it to Cristalle edt bc it’s more timeless. Also, Cristalle is very expensive these days. So underrated. Thanks for talking about it. Another similar one to Cristalle is Quartz. Not as green though. But very nice and very affordable :)
I'm new here and I'm subscribing now. The first honest, genuine and true perfume review I've seen. We get drawn into buying niche due to popularity and stigma. Thanks for a great review 🥰
Thank you, you are always to graceful and elegant, it is a pleasure to watch your videos. I am on a hunt for the Armani Malachite, so need to try the DG Intense you suggested. Have a lovely day🥀
Hi Leila 😃 Thanks so much for another awesome video. Looking gorgeous as always. Definitely gonna buy D & G The only one intense. Enjoy your weekend. Greetings from Switzerland, Barbara 🥰🥰🤗🤗
Thanks Layla! You look charming as always! Great perfume alternatives! I have Dolce &Gabbana The only one Intense ,love it. It was interesting to know the replacement for Noir de Noir.❤️
Can’t wait for Saturday and another great video. I love all the information and perfumes you introduce, so far I bought these perfumes just because of your video : al haramain tobacco edition, Ck amber gold, Lalique le Parfume, Ajmal raindrop, Balenciaga florabotanica, D&G the only one intense, Al haramain junoon. The rest are in the list Lolol . I love all your recommendations. You are amazing and I love your choices BTW because of you I’m getting to Amouage fregnsmces 👍 Love from US ❤️
Still missing your videos on Saturdays. From this video I learned about Raining drops, (love It), Acqua di Paris Venezia (much better than the original). Thanks for sharing with US!!
I recently came across Lataffa fragrances and I am in love. My first one was Lataffa Opulent Musk which is like Cloud by Ariana Grande but less creamy, which I guess is a bit like baccarat rouge 540 (as everyone seems to compare Ariana's cloud with it) but less creamy
Hello, Layla! I want to thank you for the recommendations....I bought Raindrops, it is a pleasant surprise...I am from Romania, I send you the best thoughts...❤
I recently bought a "dupe" house version of Tom Ford Plum Japonais as it is discontinued and it turned out to be very, very like it. The perfume is Alexandria Forbidden Plum. The bottles of the TF are now hard to get and over the top expensive anyway. I also found Bon Parfumeur #401 Cedar, Candied Plum & Vanilla, to be a very good alternative in the same vein (not a dupe) as the Tom Ford. Why oh why did he discontinue this beautiful perfume!? I agree with you that some perfumes are priced way too high and there are many good alternatives out there. Thank you! oxJulia
Your so elegant I wanna Sophisticated well spoken and beautiful like you one day. I've been watching perfume reviews for many years on UA-cam and no one is quite as thorough and well spoken as you I appreciate your input and information I hope that you continue to make more videos
I want to add not dupes but similar perfumes - they’re Nasomatto Black afgano and Cuirs by Carner Barcelona. Cuirs is more light & delicate than Black afgano, less expensive and longevity is less, which is a big plus in this case.
I have Velvet Rose by Lattafa. Really love the box 😁. That fragrance has a lot in common with Chopard Love, which in return smells very similar to a niche rose perfume. Velvet Rose is more smoky and earthy than Chopard's Love though, which in return is more spicy and sweeter. Their opening is pretty much the same, the difference lies in the evolution and dry down, so to me you can have both. I think Velvet Rose is more unisex than Love.
10% of the price is the juice, 90% is packaging, advertising, distribution, profits for reseller, and profit for maker. Without profits there is no business. If it was 90% just the cost of packaging then they would make no profit. I love those eyes and your accent. Great ambience and background as well. Keep making more videos sweetheart
I love watching your videos; not because I want to add to my fragrance wardrobe...although, you often provide me with rare gems....but because it's very apparent that fragrances are another vehicle you use to transport you through life. Very refreshing. Admittedly, I blind bought Oud Malaki because the nose behind it is Ropion, but what a gorgeous fragrance; I also own Amber and Rose Malaki and they are all mixed to perfection. I am thinking of getting the Black Incense one also; do you have it and if so, what are your thoughts??
Thanks for your comment Sharri🙏🌼❤️ BTW Dominique Ropion created Amber Malaki in 2012 and in 2017 he created Oud de Carthage so I think the first one was an inspiration 😊 No, unfortunately I haven't tried the Black Incense.
@@styledigest9819 Yes they are very similar, there are several of his creations that are quite similar at varying price points. I adore Amber Malaki, I just love how regal it smells without screaming it's presence; which I suppose if you are Malaki, you never need to scream. I will be eternally grateful to him for Alien and Musc Mysterieux.
What a smart, helpful, generous video! Thank you so much. I just added a few of these to my list. Curious if you’ve ever tried the “Milano” version of Reyane Tradition’s Acqua di Parisis? I just ordered it because it is supposed to be very close to the “Secret Elixir” version of Givenchy’s Ange ou Démon, which has been discontinued and is getting very expensive. I love that whole line and see that you recommend the L’Ange flanker (I want that too!).
I just got it, and it’s not as great as I expected it to be. There is a weird note/smell that comes out right in the opening, but then it does settle into a pretty great dupe for Le Secret Elixir, but the longevity is close to none, so you don’t get to enjoy it for long. It doesn’t linger on clothes either. I would say it’s not worth your money (unless I got a dud)...
The opening of Dancing Leaves has lots of alcohol but the middle and base notes do smell like Tom Ford Noir de Noir. I fully agree. Cost way less too. Very good review, thank you.
I have a sample of ombré leather and at first it was not to my taste but after 20 minutes I couldn’t stop smelling it. I am going to buy Lattafa Velvet Oud to try! Also have you tried Sutoor? The presentation and the juice is so delectable! It is supposed to be a dupe of Roja Dove.
Being in the UAE could you recommend perfumes that are good for the heat? I struggle to find ones that aren’t too cloying in the heat (I do prefer gourmand scents though) 😫
That Dolce Gabbana bottle looks like Tom Ford bottles and yet TF charges exorbitant pricing for scents that aren't worth it. I always wonder about that brand that has cupcake perfume bottles and what they smell like. I'm a fragrance nut too. I'm always looking for a cabinet to house my perfumes in that will keep them clean and dust free but I haven't found it yet.
