ThiIs was so good i had to rewind and watch it a second time. I do all of these tips currently but it helps to hear that i am on the right track. I especially love deep conditioning with heat. I do it every wash day. I was trimming my ends every 8 weeks and then i realized that i might be over trimming so i cut back. My hair has grown so much. I never blow dry or flat iron. My shrinkage is 4 real! I am enjoying the journey. Love your videos. Be blessed.
Aww that just made my day! Thank you for watching and supporting my channel. It's always nice to know your'e on the right track. I love that you never blow dry or flat iron your hair. I have heat damage from using waaayyy too much heat on my hair postpartum and I'm missing my healthy curls so much 😩 lol definitely will be trying to fix the damage soon!
Is there a hair length where you think it's been easier/easiest to take care of your hair? As my hair grows longer, I have mixed feelings about it getting easier to maintain - I have practically the same routine as you where I wash every 7-10 days, put in twists/braids, let them out and repeat. I didn't even realize until looking at photos that my hair has grown from chin length to bra strap length in a couple years. I think my hair is easier to take care of now, but I get so lazy thinking about how long one braid takes and it pushes my wash days out farther than I should probably go before dryness sets in. Curious about your experience!
@@saynat I’ve never resonated with a comment as much as I resonate with this 😭 I be so hurt when wash day roll around bc I know it’s gonna take some time and after a long day of moming I do not look forward to a 3hr arm workout lol I liked my hair at bra strap length and even waist length tbh tailbone length is cute but after ONE twist I wanna quit, do 4 jumbo twists and call it a day 😂 at bra strap length I used to be done with the whole wash day and styling in 2hrs! The good ole days 😭
I have been growing out my bleached hair for a few years. I have a few inches of blonde leftover, is it possible to keep the hair at the ends that is split maintained? Is there a protective style/products you’d recommend to keep the split hair from splitting more up my shaft until I’m ready to make that cut?
@@NunusExperience speaking from experience and trying to be as transparent as possible, when I bleached my hair in high school I had to have my mom cut my hair from bra strap length to shoulders bc my hair was so dry and the ends were splitting really bad. We decided it was best to just cut off the damage rather than trying to save it bc it could ultimately ruin the hair that wasn’t damaged. I wish I had some recs for maintaining the split ends but I honestly am unsure. I hope you find something that works for your hair! 💛
@@deboraholugbemi6411 from 2017-2018 I was using Cantu products (which I know most ppl have beef with them lol) but they were cheap and they worked okay for my hair which was what I cared about at the time. 2019-2022 I used Mielle Organics pomegranate and honey leave in conditioner and curl smoothie bc my hair really loved them and they smelled good. I saw the most hair growth during this time but I think it was the products and the routine/ techniques I had that helped me grow my hair out and maintain length. I did stop using Mielle bc they weren’t hydrating my hair enough idk if they changed the formula or if my hair just got too used it. 2023-Now I’m using Melanin Haircare and Pattern Beauty and they’ve been hydrating the hell out of my hair lol and my length is still in tact! I hope this helps 💛💛

3:04 the cuticle. The follicle is the pore on the scalp that the hair grows out of. The cuticle is what raises to let water in/out on the shaft.
@@killahkurlz7157 omg thank you! 😅 Bc the way I kept saying follicle and didn’t even realize is sending me 😂😭
