They feel like they are being picked on in a hostile way. They have every right to defend themselves with legal firearms.

People can only be pushed so far. They came here for a life of liberty & deserve it.
If the governments in the cities they have settled in can't/won't protect their liberty, then it is their right to protect themselves.

Philippines was once a U.S. commonwealth so they US brought in a “right to bear arms” to the Filipino culture. There is no 2nd amendment style law there but it’s a de facto/un official right to bear arms in the Philippines.

Philippines have firearms even before the industrial revolution but just the nobles and merchants. They come from chinese trade and pirates that sell them to warlords when philippines is packed with little kingdoms before. The lantaka is an example.

As an Asian American of Filipino descent, gun culture has been embedded with us for hundreds of years, talk about fighting for your freedom, against the Spanish, Americans, and Japanese. That gun culture has been brought by Filipino Americans in the US, I would say, with all a DOZEN different ethnicities of Asian Americans, Filipino Americans are more of have a gun in their home, than any other Asian Americans, and I am also carry a Glock in my waist, and have an AR-15 in my home, also most of my cousins in SD, are all gun lovers.

Have you ever really fought against Spanish, Americans, and Japanese? What I only know is that 🇵🇭 has been colonized for hundreds of years...

@@kingkong2598 Then, START learning Philippine History, colonization doesn't mean STRUGGLES stop, there are pockets of small armed struggle during the Spanish, American, and Japanese colonization...

As a Latino man I will always respect East Asians and I believe that they have the right to defend themselves from bad people.

Define ethnic. Define humanity. Science and humanity only separates the human heart, the human being.
