Beautifully done as always!! I look forward to each and everyone of these when they are leased. Thank you Robert and Carol for all you do with these shows, they are such a gift to the Elvis fan community!! TCB
Thanks for another phenomenal show, Robert! As always, what I learned from you will probably end up with me having a lighter wallet, because I will probably acquire a couple more variations of this album, Keep them coming!
Hey Robert. Great breakdown going through the different releases of this excellent album. The COTS sticker should be considered worthless if there are more copies than originals. There are some who suspect the “found original” from 1990’s is also fake…🤷♂️
Great Job Robert. This was my favorite album as a kid when Elvis was alive. Having him singing my two favorite songs Burning Love and Suspicious Minds in one concert album. Keep up the great work.
Hello Bob ,another Great interesting show, Only thing left out was the Aloha Ep. I know it was a promo. Have one sealed with the jukebox labels sealed with it. THANKS for all the help and friendship you and Carol have giving me all these years. Friends, Dennis
Mark from London, luv the show as always,I was wondering if you could do a show on British releases as most of my quite large elvis collection is British, just a thought. All the best ,stay well and keep up the good work.
After watching this, I'm beginning to think that the best thing to do with the Chicken of The Sea variation is to forget about it altogether, unless you are buying it from a reputable source like Rockaway Records. I also notice that nobody ever mentions the programming insert that came with the COS version. I only know about it from a very old Record Album price that Jerry Osborne put out prior to the first edition of Presleyana.
I agree. Rockaway Records is pretty reliable and reputable source, but that bootleg sticker is an excellent reproduction. I know, cause I've seen it AND the original one that Jerry had. I believe that COS insert is the key to authenticity, Thanks!
Awesome as always Robert. Now I’m gonna have to check all my Aloha albums to see what I have in the collection !!! LOL I have bought from you as well on eBay and it came beautifully packaged and speedy delivered. Nice album 2 !!! Thanks again.
Good Video Robert, I think all should stay clear of the COTS Sticker . It was never a realized offering from my extensive research. When it was 1st announced of its existence in a book back in 1978, there was no sticker on that Pictured item . It all goes downhill from there. Starting with the fact not one showed up for many years after its release. So many Buyers bilked out of Tens of 1000's of Dollars , mainly from one source unfortunately.
Very interesting. Could you expand the topic further? Which 1978 book shows that image? The fact is to know if the whole story of the existence of an Aloha Cots from the beginning is totally false, or if it is true that there are some authentic among many false????
Agreed. There may have only been a few made, but those employees who received one, ripped off the shrink making there being even less. The only legit one I ever saw was the one Jerry had before he sold it in an auction.
Fantastic video as always! Very informative as I'm hoping to find a copy of Aloha at an upcoming record show. Your channel is an incredible resource as someone really getting into the nitty-gritty details of collecting The King. Easily in my top 3 Elvis fan channels!
Interesting and educational show for collectors. One thing I did not see was the ep. I have seen pictures in various record books and seen a few for sale on Paul Lichter Elvis Unique Record Club. Hope a future episode would include information about it.
Hi Robert... great video and discussion about my all time favorite Elvis performance!! AFH was my very first EP record back in 1973. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the subject!!
The memories of Elvis Presley tv special should be a new DVD also please review what was seen and said I have a vhs copy of that show and I saw a video film not on the deluxe DVD set .
I totally have missed this video Robert. But this greatly and truly done. I have been following your channel and you have very informative content. Also, I believe if I am not mistaken, I picked up from you eBay store brand new Second 2 None LP! Please let me know, I did a sealed to reveal on it as well. 😁👍🏻😎😎 TCB ⚡️⚡️ Josip.
Hey Josip. Yes! That was purchased from my Ebay sales. I'm glad you're happy with it and it was nice of you to do a video about it. Feel free to mention my channel or Ebay seller name the next time you win an item. Thanks!
@@collectingtheking I will definitely do so Robert and will leave you info on my video of this one! Very happy and glad I have bought off your store! Wishing you a wonderful weekend my friend 😎🙌👍🏻😁😁 Josip. 😎⚡️⚡️
There's always a possibility of an announcement later this year, but from what I understand based on a recent episode of EAP Society is that obtaining the song rights for video release of this show is a nightmare. If you haven't seen it, it's a great video that really points out how special the 2004 DVD release is.
The whole story of the sticker can be bogus.I mean someone came up to one at record show and showed you a sticker had you never seen before . Its been 50 years and we have never seen one and its never been talked about before . I dont trust these new rare stickers . I dont think there ever was a COTS sticker.
Thank you for your opinion. If you're referring to the Hilton sticker, it wasn't found at a record show, it was from the owner of a record store in L.A.. I, too, am totally sceptical about newly found stickers. But I totaly believed the man I bought it from and his story matched what was done with other promotional Hilton stickers that were put on other LPs that the Colonel wanted to promote. It MY opinion, it's real.
Great show Bob, very informative..

Great show👍.. THANK YOU!!! TCB!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you Robert. This episode cleared up my questions on the Quad releases and the chicken of the sea sticker. Eric

This is really not my platform to expand on Jose . The book was called The Boy Who Dared to Rock .
@@mcquillan2 You're right. I understand perfectly. Thanks for the book title.
The topic has come up a few times on a certain popular Elvis forum.
Which forum .... not on too many of those anymore due to UA-cam , FB & Instagram .
Agreed. There may have only been a few made, but those employees who received one, ripped off the shrink making there being even less. The only legit one I ever saw was the one Jerry had before he sold it in an auction.

You bet!
Also In 1979 japanese tv had a aloha tv special with pictures of Elvis during the bonus songs with different film of the hula girl
Can’t wait !!!
The+-first time i think it was mentioned was in a Paul Licthor book 1983 and the same year in Preslyanna
Another great show! Great research on a very detailed album. I would to have Nipper interact with you on future shows. ;>).
I'll see what I can do about adding some barking sound bites. NOT!

Is it possible to make a video about the Elvis souvenirs that are really collectible nowadays ,Great video as always Robert 👍👍
Hey Eric. I did do two shows about Elvis Souvenirs "Elvis On Tour" and "Viva Las Vegas". Check those out if you haven't already done so.
Maybe i missed will check it , thnx for the Great videos Robert and greetings from the netherlands 👍🙏
Why do you think there was not a Big Aloha box set (like the 68 special) with a Blu-ray release?

If you haven't seen it, it's a great video that really points out how special the 2004 DVD release is.
I’ve heard from a very good source that this will eventually happen, (at the retail level), but there’s always speculation.
Where is the Aloha 6 Song EP?? it should be included ................................
Alternate aloha was released in 1988 ?
Yes.
You left out the 45 6 song EP from Aloha
It was CD-4 Quadrophonic, not SQ.
Hi Larry. I was referring to the original Columbia SQ Quads, like was on the labels as I pictured. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
No special items from the case today Robert ok may be next time take care bud
Yeah, I know. LOL! The box will return in future shows. Thanks for watching!

@@jkrein82 No. But I know who does. The collector who bought it from me. He had no problem with its authenticity.
