I personally believe that classified catalogue code given by Dr. S. R. Ranganathan is far better than AACR2R.... According to expansion of knowledge area n introduction of new subjects Colon should be revised... Colon classification is the best scientific scheme in the word... salute to father of library science ranganathan sir🙏
When we write Catalogue card, we should not write in a cursive or running hand. It should be legible hand letters must be separated straight, so that, every library users should understand and read clearly. Title proper of the book should be taken into consideration while writing the manual Catalogue.
Below mentioned sections are referred as added entry (Tracing sections) which allows you to access a single document from different point of view. 1) Pharmacology refers to Subject Heading (Taken from any subject heading sources Such as Sear' s List of subject heading (SLSH) or Library of congress subject heading (LCSH) ) 2) Chemotherapy refers to Subtitle of the documents or If any co author is Mention 3) Title (Mentioned is roman numerals as per schedule) refers title of the documents 4) Series (Mentioned again in roman numerals) refers multiple series of the documents. Hope this is helpful
