I took this flight last year, upper deck in world traveler plus. Good bang for your buck if you cannot afford to pay for first class -- business seems quite narrow and cramped for the cost jump. Lots of little perks for not a lot more money. WTP is a small cabin again on the second floor which affords you wider seats, more legroom, more recline, nicer ambience, additional storage, a commanding view (when on the ground) and a quieter, less crowded area. An ideal section of the aircraft all around. A380 is by far the quietest aircraft I've ever flown on, you barely feel the thing take off but the landings do tend to be more jarring (from my experience). The BA lavatories are very modern with hand sensing sinks and lighting that slowly brightens to allow your eyes to adjust when the cabin is dark elsewhere -- I really appreciated that. Top notch, attentive service, the feeling of being in many small living rooms as opposed to one extremely large aircraft. I'd love to ride in first at some point but until I can justify the expense, WTP is a good way to go. Also, arguably the best tea in the sky...
Wonderful. I know first class costs two to three times that of club world but BA really makes you feel at home. They even offered me a stewardess to help me change my pajamas to which I said no. Enjoy your travels mate
NICE! This A 380 seemed to take it's time in landing although it is a big plane..I'm heading to Ireland next year to visit my family and we will take the Irish Ferry to London for a few days.....BA is a great airline! Thank you for posting! :) Those meals looked yummy!! Especially the scallops! :)
I am taking the afternoon BA 269 Flight to LAX in February next year and it will be my first time flying on the A380 super jumbo ever and i have flown before on the 747 and other smaller aircraft so watching this video has got me feeling excited and looking forward to my trip to LA next year
Great video, thanks.I'm doing the LHR-SFO run soon so this was instructive. What a pity no-one can convince BA to shorten or better still cut out so much of their monotonous, droning announcements. Always drearily read by the most nasally-impaired "Johnnie No-Stars" from a crib sheet. BA are by far the worst for this: last week I flew LHR-DUS and I swear the guy hardly stopped gabbing his endless drivel the whole flight. I'm sure only a tiny portion is legally required. Why do they need to tell you they're going to push a trolley up the aisle? Are they afraid you might pop outside and miss it?
I find it annoying aswell, but that's probably because it's my mum or dad do the announcements. So I ask my parents why you do speak so much and especially the pilots, it's apparently to stop them giving a robotic approach to speaking to the customers which j can appreciate
It's very quiet. You are totally unaware there is another deck above you. I always feel far less jetlagged after flying on the A380. If anything, you can hear people snoring more clearly! Although that's a pedantic point!
Beautiful clip it feel like I'm on plane too :) Good Job two thumbs up :)

Great Video, same as Speedbird2037 I'm also flying in February 16th to LAX and this video was very interesting to watch. Thanks
Thanks everyone for your feedback.
Flight was just over 10 hours.
Always looks like the plane isn't actually going up after it takes off for a while until you see the ground gradually lower as you ascend.
Iam glad you had a good flight you must have been in heaven being on an a380 that is dream of a mine one day it will happned to me
Flying the a380 is a fairly easily attainable dream. Flying 1st class in one far less so!
Flyclub was it very quiet, compared to other airliners?

How long was the flight?
How many calories have you consumed in that trip alone? Assuming you haven't had a meal already at Concorde Rooms.
What do you think about BA's a380? What do you like and don't like in this airline/plane?

I made a comment above that might apply to this question as well....
