people forget too much that Mariah is 54 years old, has nodules, a fragile voice so yes she no longer has the same voice as before (90's and 2000's) but she is doing very well I think!! and for Ariana it's her dream collaboration the fans should be happy for her. But now according to billboard rules remixes need to be over 80% like the orginal so it leaves little room for creativity. Just listen to Heartbreaker ft Jay Z and Heartbreak (You Should ever be lonely) remix, the difference is crazy
I believe she would love Mariah Carey's Butterfly Album and Emancipation of Mimi (2005) Album. It's just that Mariah's voice in 2024 is too matured and tired and darker
