Did you know that Andrew Pope Cody was a very real person and he was just like that they did not change any names in that Janine AKA Smurf baz Craig gay brother deran the only thing that's not accurate on how things ended for them is I'm not sure how Smurf died or she's even alive today but out of the boys Josh and deran are the only ones still alive pope dies and Craig were all killed and there is some suspicion bee-hind baz that she might have had something to do but the cops did it for her and this all happened in an area very much like Oceanside which is a real place in California but not Oceanside in Australia but most of that was accurate season 1 of animal kingdom was extremely accurate how Josh played the cops that really happened also baz came from the same place Darren Pope and Craig came from I think they made him to be some kind of step son in the show because she may have killed him but that was her real son in real life
Without Smurf in his life, Pope would likely have turned into a pretty good guy, and even so he continues to struggle against her powerful influence! We've just started watching this series from our library - fantastic! Better acting from all than most of Hollywood's A-list.
My favorite character ever on a TV series. I absolutely love Pope. Shaun Hatosy is one hell of an actor. Can't wait till it comes back on..
Agreed one of the most complicated and interesting and bad ass characters ever. I want to see more of him in Pope mode

Pope was my favorite. I believe he actually wanted to be good but Smurf and jay and loosing Julia ultimately destroyed him.
