Whenever I see those flashbacks I like to think it's what Sendo pictures everytime he gets in the ring and when he's close to giving up he remembers those moments like promises. Promises he's made to himself over his lifetime. I always felt for him after those flashbacks. He'll always be number 1 in my heart☝😢

The best part of this episode is seeing Takamura's face. For one of the first times in the series you get to see *true* respect from him. He know's Ippo worked his fucking ass off to get here. More so than any of the other boxers in the gym they're in. He's proud of the weakling he found and the powerful guy he's become. I love it. Best manga\anime ever.

Seeing all his struggles and training made me so invested. This anime makes me want to workout everytime I watch it lol.
One thing about this scene that doesn't get enough mention is the look by Takamura at 2:48. That look of pride as if to say, "Welcome to the club kid."
Before going into the final round Ippo asked Kamogawa what it means to be strong. Sendo's flashbacks are all about the moments in his life when he wished to be stronger. They both want the same thing! Just for different reasons. Goddamn, that's great writing.
Ippo is such an amazing character, he's the kind of champion the world needs: humble, graceful, loyal, clean and true to his core. Hajime no Ippo is one of my favourite series ever, perhaps my very favourite!! George Morikawa is a freaking genius and hope he gets his work finished sometime within the next 5-10 years. I only got into the series back in 2021, yet it's been truly incredible!
The absolute head-to-toe goosebumps produced by the music and the punches sound when Ippo destroys Sendo's guard with that uppercut will forever be legendary!

I want Ippo to go to the world (again after his return) and go for that world title to really understand the meaning of strength

It would be nice to keep some of the songs from the first season and some from season 2 but also make an even epic track for the series, LETS JUST HOPE FOR SEASON 4

Man both of them are like 2 sides of a coin Ippo winning the belt while searching for his answers and quelling his own self doubt Lastly, The Coach when he said "I just hope that he can achieve it while I still breathe" that line hits different knowing his VA passed away some years ago. This is such a damn good anime, and I'm hella proud that I was introduced to this!! ROLLING GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
