What I loved about this scene is that the flashbacks during the Dempsey role weren't Ippo's life but Sendo's. Shows how much the author appreciated every character in the show.
Whenever I see those flashbacks I like to think it's what Sendo pictures everytime he gets in the ring and when he's close to giving up he remembers those moments like promises. Promises he's made to himself over his lifetime. I always felt for him after those flashbacks. He'll always be number 1 in my heart☝😢

The best part of this episode is seeing Takamura's face. For one of the first times in the series you get to see *true* respect from him. He know's Ippo worked his fucking ass off to get here. More so than any of the other boxers in the gym they're in. He's proud of the weakling he found and the powerful guy he's become. I love it. Best manga\anime ever.

The absolute head-to-toe goosebumps produced by the music and the punches sound when Ippo destroys Sendo's guard with that uppercut will forever be legendary!
I cried when Ippo won the belt. That scene when he realises what just happened and he celebrates by throwing his fists in the air really hit home for me 😂
Ippo is such an amazing character, he's the kind of champion the world needs: humble, graceful, loyal, clean and true to his core. Hajime no Ippo is one of my favourite series ever, perhaps my very favourite!! George Morikawa is a freaking genius and hope he gets his work finished sometime within the next 5-10 years. I only got into the series back in 2021, yet it's been truly incredible!
Before going into the final round Ippo asked Kamogawa what it means to be strong. Sendo's flashbacks are all about the moments in his life when he wished to be stronger. They both want the same thing! Just for different reasons. Goddamn, that's great writing.
I finally finished this show earlier this week. I didnt think they would let ippo win. When he hit that last dodge i jumed out my seat. And when he got the belt and cheered, i actually bad to let some tears go. Fantastic anime

The song that played after sendo got knocked out 'zuuto zuuto zuuto zuuuto' is on the same level as rage your dream from initial d. Truly a piece of art. And mashiba getting fired up after the match is very funny and it shows his character that he isn't just a grumpy angry and creepy boxer.

Ippo is what everyone should desire to be. Such decent, disciplined, Hard-working, Passionate, Well-behaved. One of My favorite protagonists.
Ippo is legit my favorite shonen protagonist.
