      😂 I wish I had that problem. I currently have a 333G in the driveway and I pretty sure the HOA is adding Tractor to the bylaws as we speak.

    Check the date code off the bearings will give you an idea when it was last rebuilt.

    Never has a Chinesium engine stand worked so hard for its supper. I'd like to think that the old, American-made Cat engine has some feelings about the funny little offshore engine stand it's sitting on, but I doubt it's in much of a position to complain

    That rust in those cylinders may clean up. You won't know until, you sand it down. You have to try ,especially if the other cylinders look that good.

    If you put better caster wheels on your engine hoist, it will move so much easier

    You can see the hone marks on the cylinders! Doesn’t look like much use or a fresh major.

    It’s a D333C. 3306 doesn’t share the s/n of the machine it’ll be a 3N s/n on a 3306. I have 11k4047 and it’s still a D333C.

    Look at the casting part number on the 2 cranks and see if they match. I am guessing they won't.

    If you epoxy your driveway, the oil will clean up easy.

    You have the two most expensive parts block and crankshaft 3306 is a tough one if taken care of your garage looks like mine cars not allowed 😆

    i don't if you'll read this ,but have got a D333 of some sort,in an old steiger out back.. last time it ran is probably 2007... It's been undef the cover of the hood...not sure of it's internal condition... perhaps it'd fire up with persuasion 🤔...not sure what I'd do with it...but anyway 👍👍👊

    If it was overhauled using cat parts the pistons should have an "ORxxxx" number, thats cat reman parts. The back side of the bearing shells should say STD, and have a date on them, date of the machine=original..
    The crank is probably inside the re-useabilty specs as they are harder than a wedding pri*k.
    Fyi when it comes to the crank, mother cat only offers bearings in +.025 and +.050. So you have to turn the cranks twenty five under..
