In Chennai every year people face difficulties even if there is less rain in the way of water logging in the roads and worsens if it is heavy, water entering the houses also. Govt officials should take precautions beforehand by clearing the drainage systems, storm water drains. The cooum river width in Chennai leading to the sea should not be narrowed as during heavy rain it might cause heavy damages. The existing water bodies should be preserved and not destroyed for some reason to hold the rain water and also help during the other seasons of shortage of water. The approval for construction of buildings in water bodies should not be given to avoid any disaster.
