Awesome to see u r out and enjoying the nice spring days (and above average temps). Look forward to discussing my upcoming CT. Loved hearing the tributes to your mothers!!! Thx for sharing your adventures.
Thank you. That need to get out and into the alpine on dry trails is getting pretty strong. We've got some great trips planned this summer, can't wait. How about you?
@@MADHippiesLife want to some more CT (Breck to twin lakes), an old friend and I are hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim sometime in Sep or oct (depending on getting the permit) and then hoping to do some of the Uintah high line trail in Oct. in prep, I hope to some of Colorado's loop trails. Do you have some recommendations?
So many trails here in Colorado! Recommendations are many, definitely the CT, such an incredible trail end to end. We're hitting the Indian Peaks Wilderness, highly recommended. Pawnee - Buchanan Loop and a few custom loops we're throwing together that include Diamond Lake, Caribou Lake, Mirror Lake and Lone Eagle Peak, Pawnee Lake, Lake Dorothy, Devil's Thumb Lake, King Lake and Jasper Lake to name a few. We'll be using the Hessie TH and the Buchanan Pass TH (Camp Dick) to access these areas. Alternate THs are on the west side of the Continental Divide via Monarch Lake TH or Moffat Tunnel West Portal - King Lake (Winter Park).
Hi, Tom! Buffalo Creek is definitely a great area for dispersed camping. Lots of campsites, trails, wildlife and room to spread out so everyone has their own space. Sounds like you're ready for an outing!!!
@@MADHippiesLife Oh YEA!!! Been waiting for the right time, and 2 weeks sounds good! I like off the beaten path camping, where them city slickers can't bring them tiny home campers!! lol Can't wait for your next outing! Be Safe You guys!!!
Occasionally they do bring them down in Buffalo Creek, but everything is so spread out you don't notice. It's pretty much a locals favorite... nothing like modern campgrounds with all the hookups.
Is was really great getting out!!! The pups were a little freaked out, but heck, we all were. The 2am scream-a-thon was a little over the top 🤣 Thankfully the cat moved on and we all settled back in.

Thank you, Andrew. Being out on trail and in nature is good medicine.
Thanks guys for this video. I am sorry for your losses this last year. The last 12 months has been rough for sure. I have the spring itch for sure

What a nice getaway! We’re hoping be out in the Pike next month.
Did you find any tracks?
Sure did, probably fox, but won't rule out the bobcat serenading us at 2 in the morning!
