    Why in tissue culture high concentration of auxin to cytokinin promotes root development ?. Explain

      Auxin are present in root and shoot it is but obvious that if concentration of auxin is more it start root formation and suppress cytokinin

    Mam even auxin promotes cell division thn how do they discovered cytokinin mam.. (2.40)??

      They discovered that cell division in the "bakane" diseased plant were seen when auxin were accompanied by some other substance, so that is how cytokinins were discovered. The other substance was discovered to be kinetins or cytokinins.

    mam but medullary rays [parenchymatous] undergo dedifferentiation to become interfascicular cambium
    but u have said they undergo differntiation

    Concerning cytokinins, I have placed my fig bud explants in varying concerntrations of BAP (a cytokinin) and always fixed NAA auxin concentration; What I have observed is that leaf and node proliferation occurs but elongation does not, irrespective of the amount of cytokinins there are in the medium. I also tried changing macro and micronutrient concentrations in bulk and so on.... Does it mean I may need to increase also the concentration of auxin? I would say it is somewhat low, like: 2 mg/L BAP : 0.2 mg/L NAA.

    Mam I think you are mistaken because cytokinins does not promote the adventitious root formation because cytokinins promote the adventitious shoot formation while the auxins promote adventitious root formation
