Finally a UA-cam video that captures what this guitar actually sounds like. I played one a couple times at guitar center and was completely blown away for its price point. Diversity from clean to distorted is really good with this instrument.
Agreed. I think this is way better than the Sire S7. And they've a great price. I got mine used (mint) for $599.
Great demo and great solo and song at the end.
Excellent demo thanks!!!
Great job Sir!
That outro 👌
Excellent!
9:28 like this scale !
If you had to pick one, would you choose this over a prs silver sky se? I am considering both guitars and just can’t make the call. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you.
I would choose the Schecter. They are different styles - the prs is obviously much more of a vintage vibe. But i really like the Schecter better personally.
@@davlavmusic7070 Wow thanks for such a quick reply! I will certainly keep that in mind. Thank you!
What amps/cabs effects did you use? Thanks :)
I use a Victory Jack preamp into a Revv D20. Everything is recorded direct using the Revv's built in Two Notes software. For the IR, I'm using a Victory 4x12 from the Sherriff pack.
hi there what is the name of the song that you are playing at the end of the video? great playing ~
Thanks. That was a backing track for one of JTM's "Jam of the Month" I think.
Nice tone and playing
How is the tuning stability with this tremolo system ?
I've not had any issues with tuning stability. But I'm not a big user of the tremolo.
Great playing . I'm torn between Van NUys and Nick Johnston . Which one do you think I should choose?
This guitar or Ibanez Q54 or fender Mexico stratocaster?
That's a hard question to answer - depends on what you're looking for. For me, personally, I'm ending up using my Vintera MIM Strat. I've sold the Ibanez already and will likely be selling the Schecter son as well. Part of it depends on what kind of feel you prefer - in terms of neck profile, fretboard radius, pickups, etc. I lean more towards vintage. The Ibanez is more on the modern side while the Schecter is a good middle ground.
@@davlavmusic7070 thanks for your reply, I got your point , I have fender telecaster classic 60 MIM for vintage vibe & fender American performer telecaster for modern feel ..
Nice sounding axe! Gratz! Why do you prefer this guitar over Nick Johnston Strat??? Van Nuys is a little more expensive but...
I like the playability and feel of the Van Nuys - the NJ just felt dead acoustically. I do think the NJ pickups are slightly better.
I wanted to know if these USA microphones in all positions are better than those of the NJ. I have it and they don't fill me up acoustically like the Fenders They lack clarity. Are these like the Seymour Duncan QP or just cosmetically similar. Visually I like it better and the electronics and sound seem better to me, ayudame gracias.
Can I ask, how is the weight? It looks a bit thinner than a standard strat, no?
@@davlavmusic7070 Thanks for your answer! Oh one more thing: Are the single coils hum cancelling?
Thanks! This is a great review! No talking, just playing. The features and different sound combinations are presented in a very organized manner.
