I heard in an interview that Grian's fiancee is singing in this and i find that so sweet. It makes the song even more special and heartwarming. A shared moment to treasure...
This song look so weird to me. First time I've heard it, just makes me feel like , you've been drinking with my lost irish love : Robert. His bold skull, his large ears, his love for crooners and poetry, our love beginning on the harbour, his depart without words or explanation, his alzheimer illness, and all the pain we feel being separated for ever. I'm the woman in red, in his eyes. I'm still crying his loss.
Impressive decision and outcome to include a big-band sound in this song. Total elegance and reminder of earlier times when my father listened to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass on the hi fi stereo
Such a great 60`s ,70`s feel to this. I remember my dad had Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazelwood on in the car back then on 8 track cassette, a great sound system to have in a car back then. This takes me back and that is a serious complement. This is a great production that deserves global recognition. I think young Grian Chatten has shown what he can do vocally with this solo effort, what about the great singing from his fiancee Georgie Jesson, just perfect, hard to not hear the brilliant Nico voice from the Velvet Underground here too. There is so much going on here , the influences are top drawer, even Burt Bacharach would be happy with this piece of music! I listened to the album from start to finish in one go and went straight back and played it again. Great album and something to be really proud of. But i look forward to the next 4th album from that great band....Fontaines DC, No Pressure!
sounds already like a classic. best song on the album.
This song ushers your brilliance to the hills, Grian! Thank you!

Beautiful song. This almost has a Paul McCartney/Wings feel
Paul will take that!
Perfect. In a inspiring tradition of B L Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra.
