- Welp, here it is! My new record for the longest logo history I have ever made!!! YES!!! WE DID IT AGAIN! Thanks so so so so so much to CoolBeef66 ?! for requesting Universal! Credit for all logos and captures belong to everyone who made them, no matter if they are the copyright owner, in which they are shown in this video! Enjoy!!! Universal Pictures was originally formed on April 30, 1912 by Carl Laemmle, a German-Jewish immigrant who settled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he managed a clothing store. It is the oldest studio in Hollywood. The word "Universal" means "Omnipresent". In 1915, he opened Universal Studios. In 1946, Universal merged with International Pictures, headed by Leo Spitz and William Goetz. This team ran Universal-International, while Nate Blumberg and J. Cheever Cowdin remained at the helm of Universal Pictures, the parent company. In late 1951, Universal-International was acquired by Decca Records. In 1962, Music Corporation of America (MCA) purchased Decca Records and with it, Universal-International Pictures, leaving Milton Rackmil and Edward Muhl in charge, while Dr. Jules Stein (Board Chairman) and Lew Wasserman (President) guiding MCA. As a result of a consent decree with the justice department, MCA divested itself of its talent agency business. In 1990, MCA/Universal was acquired by Panasonic Corporation and later sold to Seagram and Sons in 1995. On December 9, 1996, MCA was reincorporated and renamed as "Universal Studios". In December 2000, French company Vivendi acquired Universal Studios from Seagram and Sons and formed Vivendi Universal Entertainment. On May 11, 2004, it was part-owned by Vivendi SA (20%) and General Electric (80%) and became a subsidiary of NBC Universal, Inc. On January 26, 2011, Vivendi S.A. sold the remaining 20% of NBC Universal to GE until January 28, when Comcast Corporation acquired a 51% controlling interest of the renamed NBCUniversal, LLC, and the remaining stock (49%) from GE on March 19, 2013. In 2016, Comcast acquired DreamWorks Animation, by doing so Universal gained distribution rights from 20th Century Fox which will be effective in 2019. Universal Pictures is famous for making Despicable Me, Frankenstein, Jaws, Back to the Future, Jurrasic Park, and many more!!!

I might also update this video without variants and make it shorter.
Imagine looking at the sky at night and seeing UNIVERSAL in huge letters at your house
Yay thanks for the heart! :D
No problem!
That would be awesome in my opinion!
:O holy moly
That would be LEGENDARY!!!
The 1990-1997 one gave me chills and is the tune for my upcoming intro

2030 me here, and that's now lost media! :|
I love the 75th Anniversary intro
I think I have the iconic fanfare stuck in my head now.
I love how we still able to see the early 1900s logos/intros of Universal
Yeah, how did they know what the Earth would look like from space, no-one had even been up in a high altitude balloon let alone a space rocket, yet the spinning Earth looks exactly like the one nasa released 50 years later?
Gonna have to get the popcorn for this one.
Yes you definitely should ;)

the logo at 1:50 did end in 1927. The first logos before then all began in 1912 if you are wondering.
1990 thru 1997 my favorite along with the current.
You’re great at making logo histories!
Thanks! 😃
@@JontyMaster your welcome
Is the Waterworld (1995) version in this? The transition of the logo to the ocean level rising was great, very clever. Awesome compilation, by the way!
Yes! Thank you!
Imagine if that also happens in the 2012 version?
Thanks
51:23 From Jurassic Park (1993)
I don’t if anyone has commented about this yet but 15 days before Universal was founded, the Titanic sank on April 15, 1912. Like I said, I don’t if anyone else has commented about that but I found it interesting that one of the most famous shipwrecks occurred just over two weeks ago before Hollywood’s oldest movie studio was founded. Also, 8 days after Universal’s founding, Paramount was founded which was also interesting to learn about.
1:53 Can I just say that intro is ahead of its time
Como é bom sentir o Gostinho da Universal Pictures a melhor empresa dos Estados Unidos da América (EUA)

MINIONS!
Abbababa
Jontymaster I like your logos
I’m gonna get some popcorn, drink and some candies for this one.
How did they know what the Earth would look like from space in the 1910’s, first high altitutde balloon was late 20’s, space craft was late 50’s, hmmm strange?
1:05:30 the logo from the movie of curious George
Volver Al Futuro 3 (1990)
You forgot one of the variants for the 1990 logo, and it was the one from Twister (international prints only).
It’s official! Universal beats Disney out of the ballpark. Thanks to the “Super Mario Bros. Movie”, a massive hit of 2023. Move over, Mickey Mouse, ‘cause Mario is here to stay! As for Mickey Mouse, he’s in the Public Domain.
I like new UNIVERSAL logo . 👍

That actually kinda jumpscared me. Didn't expected it and i had the volume loud. 😅
i remember that 😎
I remember being scared of this logo when I was little but I still do not know how did I start getting scared by it
Is it because of the abnormally large metallic letters in space?
The Logos from the early 1900s were scary
1:05:42 grew up with this one. Curious George 1!
@Yariel Valencia No.
Same
12:00 its dark and you hear *that*
42:22 So, a PolyGram movie with the 1963-1990 Universal logo? In what movie and which home video print was the logo used from? If a PolyGram movie from the 1980s can have the 1963-1990 logo, then does that mean that the PolyGram Three Little Pigs movie should have the 1990-1997 logo because it was first released in 1995.
I love this logo 3:01
I do not because the guy is stareing at my soul
14:50 - “Warner Bros.” background appears in CinemaScope logo.
9:44 sounds like 20 century fox music
SpongeBob SquarePants episode called The Monster Tangle
I'm pretty sure that 9:19 was taken from the 1941 Woody Woodpecker cartoon "Pantry Panic" (I could be wrong).
Actually is the screwdriver in 1941
0:47:03 I Love This Logo
Same
Is sad
1:05:31 sounds familiar
It's from curious George the movie
There were two UNIVERSAL PICTURES logo openings and/or closings overlooked - one, that set which sandwiched the 1963 Alfred Hitchcock movie THE BIRDS. Its opening was presented on a cream colored screen with the growing distorted sound of a flock of birds against it
(ua-cam.com/video/YZC42uvOY3Y/v-deo.html - 0:04)…
and, two, that set which began the 1964 Hitchcock movie MARNIE, shown on turning pages against an orchestra score
(ua-cam.com/video/GmLjWYHv0eg/v-deo.html)…
Furthermore: why didn’t the 75th and/or 100th anniversary openings include the Universal Pictures and Carl Laemmele logos from 1912/13, as well as the first UNIVERSAL PICTURES plane logo; not to mention the Universal International logos from the 40s through the 60s (seen in the 100th but not the 75th)?
I Love Universal
Its crazy to think that universal has been for over 100 years thats just insane lol
1:09:52 is probably the best spot with the Minions singing along
I remember the 1997 to 2012 logo being on a trailer for 'The Pirates who don't do Anything'
For me it’s was that curious George Christmas special
My parents were born in the 60s and I was born in 2000
Dad born in 1962
