This was actually like our love story. She was my student, then became my lover for almost 5-yrs. I proposed to her many times and I only have simple dreams, to be with her is my biggest dream. We even argued coz she wanted me to pursue PhD ASAP but I like us to be married first, pero nafefeel ko kinakahiya nya ako kc 12yrs age gap namin tapos wala man lang akong pangarap na magpursue ng PhD, pangarap ko lang makasama xa hanggang kamatayan. Nakakatawa pa, pinanood naming dalawa ito sa sinehan ng Gaisano Butuan City, grabeh nakong hilak atu while nanan-aw, ahak, tapos ginakanchawan raku niya. Ewan ko lang kung naramdaman nya yung naramdaman ko noon bakit ako iyak ng iyak while nanonood.
In-short, we broke-up mostly bcoz of pride and it became complicated bcoz of other people meddling and many other things. Now she has her own love story for almost two years now and she's now 27 y.o, and me, I am here in France finally doing PhD and which is not really my passion. hahahaha, may flu ako ngayon kaya di ako pumasok sa lab. Anyway, thanks for the time remisniscing. I hope I can finish my PhD and go back to the Philippines in 2020. Hay nakakaiyak na nakakatawa. Thank you again.

I remember when I was younger nung pinanood ko to I was really confused and enrage and frustrated kasi hindi sila nagkatuluyan!! Pero now that I’m older alam ko na nah some people are not meant for each other talaga, not everyone has a happy ending together and we don’t need a happy ending but closure for a lot of things left unsaid. We hurt but we’ll heal and find other things that’ll make us happy once u realize there’s more to life than that pain ur feeling atm
Ginny & Marco's relationship ended so painfully, so I cried, but when Direk Paul (his character) came, I cried even harder! I just felt emotional, thinking in Toni's shoes, that it feels surreal to finally have someone that is going to love you and you'll going to love for the rest of your life. Over-all, Starting Over Again is truly a classic Filipino romantic drama film that I'm glad I watched in the cinema. Because the ending is really funny, but touching. 💖

I find this message so simple yet powerful. The scriptwriter is trying to define, in this particular scene, some aspects of true love. Iza's deliverance is not overly acted which really fits the whole scene. Sa mga nakapansin ng message ni Patty dito, are the ones who concluded na sila rin ni Patty at Marco ang magkakatuluyan.

Actually, sinagot ni Toni and Vhong yung tanong abt sa kanila sa isang interview ng HSH extra sweet. Sabi nila dun, naging close daw talaga sila and unang nagkagusto si Vhong pero dahil ayaw nyang masira yung friendship nila na tinitreasure nya talaga hindi sya nanligaw and as a respect na daw sa family ni Toni and then eventually sabi ni Toni nagkakagusto na sya kay Vhong that time rin kaso ayaw nya rin ituloy kasi aside sa friendship nilang genuine, parang boy version nya daw si Vhong (mirror sila) and parang mas gusto nyang yung medyo opposite sa kanya tsaka di pa daw sya ready noon. In other words, halos mag MU lang sila ni Vhong pero walang naganap kasi magkaibigan parin turingan nila.

@@njprince9717 nah, nasa interview nila (TWBA) na gusto pala nila yung isa't isa before ( nadadala narin daw siguro sa scenes nila) pero di nila alam na ganun and wala silang proper arrangement before na MU sila or may something sila pero the way they act and treat each other is more or less like a MU stage na and right, hindi nanligaw si Sam kasi one of his reasons is medyo takot sya sa kay Daddy Bonoy.
The plot of the movie always made me emotional. Starting over again is not about happy endings. It's all about happy beginnings.
And i really admire Toni G's performance. She came from a random girl who starred in a commercial with a bigshot actor to being a leading lady of that said actor years after. And the movie became one of the most remarkable filipino films and one of the highest grossing blockbuster film in Ph cinema. Truly an inspiration.

One of the best films of OLIVIA LAMASAN pero SOA is the BEST VALENTINE'S DAY MOVIE EVER. Hindi naman ng love stories may happy ending, kung minsan may new beginnings.
Yung Architect nako tapos si ex naman may sarili nang food shop. We saw each other again after 10 years..not to continue our love story but to have a proper closure which was unplanned but it's what I've always hoped for. Yes there were moments that I still missed her but probably it was only the memories I had with her. Did I have any regrets of loving her? Nope. Loving that person and being hurt with the same person was just part of my growth and I am thankful for that. 😊💛👍

Ito talaga yung gusto ko na story eh! yung not the typical love story na may happy ending kasi di nman lahat ng love story may happy ending. For me, I'm sure di rin madali mag decide between your future and the love of your life. Kasi di mo rin nman alam kung ano ang future nyung dalawa, kung di ginawa ni ginny na umalis sguro di marerealize ni marco na i pursue yung passion nya and maybe ginny will not fulfilled her dreams. Ika nga nila "Everything happens for a reason" kung sila, sila talaga kahit pa may makilala silang ibang tao sa buhay nila. If god wanted them to end up with each other, I'm sure they will! But i guess they only met to had a lessons with their lives but not to stick around to make their happy ending. Kudos for the writers and director for this film they surely captured the heart of the Filipinos.
Ms. Toni's projects are so timeless and classics.

I've watched this years ago. the ending still gave me chills, especially when her husband in real life showed up.
I really love the ending! Very realistic and gave justice to both Ginny and Marco. Although hindi sila nagkatuluyan, naging maganda yung ending ng lovestory nila. They both found the right persons for them.
I remember nung napanood ko to, hindi ko inexpect na ganun yung ending pero sobrang satisfied ako. Kasi yung starting over again na title, nabigyang justice talaga kasi hindi naman lahat ng starting over again, second chance sa love. Meron ding second chance sa sarili. This movie was released during the time I'm trying to move on with my x while watching the tears are overflowing and I am really catching my breath coz I felt Marco's line "I deserved an explanation. I deserved an acceptable reason"... ang sakit sakit na iwanan ka until now we don't have that closure just like Marco and Ginny had but I hope one day, I can tell someone "your timing is perfect". I'm not expecting that we can be together again. I just prayed that we can have our own separate great love story because we learned from ours.

Yung tinginan talaga ni Toni and Paul sa huli eh, yun talaga yung pinakamaganda. Makikita mo hindi lang love at kilig, it's also full of respect, calmness and joy. Yun na yung sinasabi ni Patty na it may be boring but it's sure. With the right amount of trust and respect and allowance for mistake. Yun yung nakikita ko sa mga mata nila eh.

I love this movie. I just saw it March 1, 2019 when I subscribed with TFC. This was the first movie I saw and I became instant fan of Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga. I just wished they ended up together with happy ending.
