  • Reliant Robin project - today i spent time finishing the brakes and sorting the carb / radiator.
    Ends in an epic fail....
Updates are slow....I blame covid...I may have to drop down to just 1 or 2 videos a week....sorry about that!

As a viewer it is very frustrating watching your videos. You say you get it "running" but not properly. But we can't hear any of the engine because you're on time lapse with horrendous noise in the back ground.

the time laps music is still horrible , you are very interesting and don't need that type of music . try doing voice over on the fast stuff as we are listening to your progress and advice

Its just lazy editing but I do that your point. Thanks for the feedback! Personally this project has been frustrating for me. Robins are hard to work on tight spaces etc without the camera getting in the way. I think I need to try a new style!

This vid is gonna be a godsend, my MK2 has blown its front cylinders and is just spewing fluid down the backplate :( I have bought a new set of cylinders plus am going to overhaul the master, one thing I bought which is a brilliant bit of kit if you have an air compressor is an air powered brake bleeder, it just blows the bubbles out in seconds and is a one man tool so no more press and hold as the machine does the trick for you and only £13 :)

nice, ive used most types of bleed kit and ive always favoured the gunson eazibleed. Just be careful with the air suck ones as they can blow brakefluid out the end aim it away from paintwork! I found out the hard way but great bit of kit.

Second time I've watched this now. You fitted that drip tray upside down at 13:50. It's supposed to route any leaked fuel over the back of the engine/gearbox. But much nicer sound/voice this time. Enjoyed the video.
