Dave. I haven't loved you enough in the past, I think.
I subscribe to so many channels that if one of them doesn't post/upload I sometimes don't catch it right away. But thanks for THIS one! Though I am sorry for your aunt's passing, I found peace in the story of Clyde and Jessica (and family) helping you all out!
I'm sending them a "thank you" card and note for being so generous with their love of fellow humans!
And thank YOU, Dave, for reminding ME about how there are still "helpers" left in this world. Hugs!

Your story was good enough to makeup for missing the video, it a good feeling knowing there’s still good people out there willing to help travelers, it reminds me of my parents moving from Louisville Kentucky to Mooleyville Kentucky during the depression and their wagon getting mired down on Dixie Highway near this house and the family took them in until the morning and the rain stopped enough to get the wagon unstuck, they were complete strangers but good people.

Sorry for your loss. It is heartwarming in this seemingly terrible world that there are still people who will go the extra whatever it takes to help their fellow man. It is a very helpless feeling to be hundreds of miles from your safety zone and be stranded.
The Kaisers' saved the day and trip for you. We wish them well.

I know all about that truck transmission break down stuff while on the road far from home. We broke down in Montana on 220 west bound out of Circle headed to Great Falls for our Granddaughters wedding. A shop out of Circle came and got our truck and camper and took them back to their shop. They were kind enough to drop what they were doing and pulled our trans. We made arrangements to leave the camper at the campground we were at the night before for the weekend. We rented a vehicle to finish our trip and return. Parts were ordered and arrived the next day. They put the trans back in on Monday morning and we were headed home 1400 miles away in Indiana by noon. You folks in Montana are so helpful and kind.

Regardless of what one's occupation is, 'life' often causes delays and detours in our daily routines. Family, no matter how distant, is the thread of life and that thread weaves a bond that builds memories for those who have past and for those we can share with living family.

I started watching you when you where building the Borax wagons. I can't believe its been 5 years all ready!! I have learned so much from you over the last 5 years. I restore vintage cars and are building a sawmill. But every week i see some trick or a different way of doing the same thing better. Dave THANKS for sharing your knowledge with all of us! Dan H

The transmission story ... I had similar on a cycle tour in France. Front wheel bearing ran dry and I was lucky to find a bicycle dealer within a few miles on the northern edge of Tours. It was lunch time but they put themselves out to sort my bearing and get me going again. Best wishes to Clydes and Jessicas everywhere.

Much more important to be with family and deal with family issues. Happy with what comes from your shop. What a lovely couple to work so hard to get you back on the road.

WOW, long trip and vehicle troubles along the way add challenges. But it is so refreshing to here that there are great people out there that work so hard to help a fella out. Hey, you didn't wave at us as you passed through Iowa. I'll bet you went down I-35 to hit the "Avenue of the Saints" to St. Louis. We live in Mason City which is just a few miles east of I-35. And if you did take US Highway 18 East which is part of the Avenue, you were just 8 miles from our acreage!! Small world perhaps. Great video.

With all the bad news going on around the world, its great to hear good news. And from you being helped by someone from Ohio! (My coworker was born there. And she says I'm ornery!) Glad all are safe, transmission fixed and back to work! Oh and like others post here, we're grateful for your videos and don't expect them weekly!

Sorry about your aunt , I had a "spinster" aunt that was a joy to be with for all the kids she lived from 1900-1990 and had the greatest stories about just everything.
