Wow! This is the best video on the house of Amouage in one video...well, two videos to be exact, but you know what I mean. Outstanding; the De Facto standard for sure! Okay, regarding Amouage it took me a while to warm-up to them because, while their fragrances are elegant and smell of quality, I just wasn't sold when I started sniffing a couple of them 3-years ago due to price, they smelled too similar to other things (e.g., Reflection Man) and they had a refined/mature edge that l just wasn't interested at the time (I had some of those already). Anyway, I own Jubilation Man and Memoir Man and love 'em and, right now, I favor Memoir Man over Jubilation. I love mint/basil when done right in a fragrances, and I think Amouge did a great job in this fragrances. Then again, I'm one of those guys who really loves Creed Royal Water (it caught me by surprise) so what do I know? Reflection Man has been on my want list it for the past couple years--and I have sampled it numerous times--but I just don't love it. To me, it smells like a more refined, polished and gentlemanly version of Le Male, which I also love wearing...but only for about 3-hours and then I seem to get tired of it. I guess Reflection Man is like a bad marriage with really great sex: you can't resist it, but once you get it your only thought is how to get away from it. LOL! But it is a really great fragrance...just something I start to dislike the longer it's on my skin. I can't wait to see Part II. Right now I am somewhat interested in trying Ciel Man (but that Peach note scares me) and Dia Man (but that Peony scares me). Moreover, I am most interested in trying Honour Man and Epic Man since the notes pyramid seems to be right-up my proverbial scent alley. Also, a good friend advised me to try Journey Man. The others are pretty low on my to-sniff-list, but I'll give 'em all a try if I can. Surprisingly, Interlude Man doesn't grab my attention...mainly because I already have a ton of heavy smokey, incense, ashy, oudy fragrances that I just don't need many more. Regardless, I look forward to Part Two.
The first and only amouage i've tried (so far) is Epic Man and i totally agree with you that it is not in any way a barnyard oud. It does smell very nice though, kind of unique with a decidedly masculine feel (even though i find gendered fragrance marketing silly)
Interesting descriptions. Was there ever a part 2 of this?
Awesome video with great details! Can't wait to see part 2! Thanks for sharing!
Quality content man. Thanks!
I can't help but wear Jubilation XXV at least once a month no matter the weather! Profoundly beautiful scent.
Still waiting for part 2! A couple of new releases you could talk about now
Great vid. When are you releasing part 2?
