I absolutely love Sun’s awareness that there is a problem. Explaining that he is trapped in a nap before franticly begging for his system to be rebooted while simultaneously referring to Mark as “New Friend!” In my opinion he is a 1 of 1 animatronic. He has no malicious intent other than making sure the children are asleep, and stay inside the daycare during nap time. He is doing his job but part of me also thinks that when the lights go out and he changes to moon, he is aware that outside the daycare the children are not safe. Although he’s a lil creepy looking, He is a protector. A Child’s Knight against the darkness. My favorite animatronic.
Even if security breach was a tad bit of a mess in some regards, I do think they did a really unique thing by adding several friendly animatronics.
Maybe it is some variation of the Puppet?
I related to sun a lot and this part brought it full circle for my recovery with my mental illnesses. I used to think i had 2 sides, 2 people stuck in the same body. My ptsd manifested in depression, anxiety, anger, the usual emotions but they were magnified by my medication and honestly, i didnt want to take full accountability for those feelings or the actions i took when i was in that state. I went to therapy for 6 years, learned to listen to my depression and anxiety and triggers without giving into their impulses, and instead of being divided into sun and moon, i now feel like eclipse. A blend of the 2 working in harmony, still kind and helpful, still myself, but no longer denying my pain

I noticed that the mask makes the world "better," as stated by Helpi. Cassie's favorite animatronic is Roxy. When you look at the Monty soda machines with the mask on, they become Roxy soda machines. Interesting detail.

I've always loved the environmental storytelling for this game in particular. You never get to spend much time with these characters, but you get details like Sun's little play therapy tea party, and the fact that he made all of his signs with glitter glue, and then Moon stuck up a passive-aggressive "NO LiGhtS" sign in black marker. Poor guys have been stuck fixated on their directives and bickering over the spotlight switches for literal YEARS.
I was just reading the wiki where it says that they have bells on their arms possibly to allow blind children know his whereabouts. Obviously, it possibly is so that the player knows where they are, but it's a very nice design choice.

The jump scares in this one really come across more as actual deaths than previous games. Like Cassie is trying to fight back here

While Mark didn't get these two jumpscares, Moon's jumpscares have Cassie trying to fight off Moon, who is strangling her, and in one of his jumpscares (which is when you approach Moon with only one of the generators on), Sun's points come out, showing that Sun was trying to help Cassie... Unfortunately since this is a game ending jumpscare, so It obviously fails and Cassie dies
Meanwhile, Gregory just accepted his death like it always happened in Tuesday in the morning.

This DLC has me questioning why the property owners didn't contact the power company, and have them cut the power to this decrepit place. Just imagine the sheer amount of issues that could've been avoided if that was done.

The newspapers on the windows in the beginning mention an earthquake, so that's what wrecked the place, but considering what it was built on top i wouldn't be surprised if the "earthquake" was caused by stuff crawling out of that creepy pit

I felt bad for sun, poor guy was being tortured by moon trying to force sun to sleep.
That's mainly due to him not being on "showtime mode". Both sun and moon are "showtime mode" while eclipse is "safe mode". For whatever reason apparently the infection throughout the animatronics (the thing that causes them to be aggressive) does not work during "safe mode", which is why Freddy was friendly in the first game.

It’s crazy hearing Mark talk about how hard it’s been to get people to answer the phone at his doctor, because me and my friends who are on various mental health medications have been talking about how it’s like that all over the country now-Something has def changed for the worse in the US healthcare system. It’s cool to hear Mark speak up about this stuff and be open about mental health struggles.
it's like that in the uk too! we have 111 (NOT 999) and they have a thing at the beginning of the call where you dial numbers according to your needs (it's like "press 1 if it's a mental health emergency" or "press 2 if it's physical", in the end it's about 4 numbers. ANYWAY!!! the amount of times i've dialled 1 and ended the call feeling worse is insane. i was contemplating suicide and just wanted to hear SOMEONE talk me out of it, and they told me to just not think about horrid things and to have a relaxing bath (it was 3am). nothing is worse than calling people, who are supposed to help you, tell you to just "calm down" and "you'll feel better in the morning". don't even get me started on my ""therapist"" (who also made me worse lmfao)

As an aside, Sun never really did anything to hurt Gregory if I remember correctly. He was basically just preventing Gregory from leaving the day care as a caretaker should lol. Gregory kept turning the lights off to get through the door, which has since the very beginning of FNAF, been when the animatronics malfunction and get uppity. Sun has been the only animatronic that realizes when the lights go off the kids are in danger. Just a cool bot honestly. Glad Cassie helped him out.
Actually it's just because Sun was specifically programmed to change to moon when the lights go off, since it's moon's job to make sure all of the kids are sleeping during naptime

I think that Eclipse is his normal proper programming to have a balance of loving caretaker and corrector of errors, Sun is the extreme side of the caretaker side which is why he’s so overly protective and Moon is the extreme side of his punishing side, someone who interprets mistakes as thing punishable by death

You've got to love how mark doesn't know endos can't kill you if you're masked, so instead he runs straight into them without thr mask
For those confused at 12:40: When the animatronics got a virus that caused them to hunt, Eclipse (The Daycare Attendant) was stuck in "showtime mode" where his personalities where split between Sun & Moon; it's explained in the books that their switching mechanic is mostly a show feature.
It seems they were conditioned to find the changes "painful" - as referenced by Moon's line of "grind grind grinding gears inside of their head"; the literal mechanisms that switch their face plates - which stopped the two from working with each other, and made them all around easier to control due to their constant fighting for dominance.
What you do with your faz-wrench was a reboot; shutting him off and on again. Given the restart puts Animatronics in "safety mode" (like Freddy was in during the base game) he was uneffected by the virus because it only runs during "showtime mode". Eclipse is likely the default "safety mode" personality because of the fact Sun and Moon are a performance mechanic.
Sun and Moon aren't caused by the virus, they're normal parts of the animatronic

right?? I had my volume low and I thought Mark was just doing a bit where he's pretending to talk to Gregory. No, turns out Gregory was actually speaking the whole time, but they just didn't bother to subtitle it, so I missed out on what was going on.
Even if the dialogue wasn't important and just stuff like dialogue barks, they should have added subs. Not to mention, the audio is really weird for his dialogue. Not only can I not hear him, I can't even understand what he's saying! cmon devs, please add subtitles :(

They really should have put subtitles, especially since people playing the game would need to be able to hear those tips themselves if they're stuck, otherwise what's even the point?
I love how Cassie doesn't question that her voice is being used over the intercom, because of what they showed in the last part and she doesn't think.. "Hey maybe if they can use my voice they can trick me by using Greg's voice as well?"

Characters in horror games usually don't know they're characters in horror games, so they wouldn't assume stuff like that/make that connection. It's the same reason horror movies have characters go into dark basements alone - they aren't applying horror game logic to the world, they're applying real world logic.

I promise you that all of us behind the desk are as frustrated as you are and as far as astrys goes it's starting to really come into demand and it's one of the few adhd meds not on backorder right now. Omg, the Monty ride tells his story. He used to be a performer on his own, then he met the glamrock animatronics from Freddy's and he thought they were awesome. Bonnie taught him how to play bass and Roxy gave him a makeover and he became one of them!

I'm not an active watcher of Mark, but yeah, he seems to swear a lot less frequently than he used to.
It could be to appease UA-cam as opposed to deciding to be family friendly though.
It could also be that his humor style has changed and he doesn’t feel the need to curse as much, I have noticed mark is more mellow in his newer videos when compared to his older ones (which I personally enjoy, it’s kinda relaxing lol)

There's a lot of comments about Monty's slideshow here and it's so interesting to me. Like we all know that isn't a true retelling of events, Monty Gator has never been to a swamp and he doesn't get recruited by a band. It's either a narrative given to guests to flesh out a performer, or they are a summary or false memories implanted into the Monty animatronic.

The way the mask is handled is that there's actually TWO nearly identical maps loaded for each map : the "ruin" one you see without the mask, and the "VR" one you see with the mask.
Putting the mask on and off actually TELEPORTS you seamlessly between both maps at the same respective position (which is also why sometimes the mask is disabled : because it's an invalid teleport target that could get you stuck, like the tubes), but will still display the position of "moving enemies" (like the endos) on the "ruin" map as this pink "digital skeleton" projection you see in the "VR" map.
Funnily enough it also explain why taking the mask off makes you safe from the digital bunny thing : it only exists in the "VR" map, so once you're outta there, you're out of its reach.
Basically, by putting the mask on, Mark teleported to the "VR" map, while the endo stayed on the "ruin" map. Since endos are still given your position and move when you don't directly look at them (Mark was in the "VR" map, not the "ruin" map, hence why he wasn't technically looking at the endo, only his projection).
The endo kept trying to go "after him" but couldn't teleport to the VR map, hence why it was going in circles, not finding any walkable path to Mark.

There are actual jumpscares that can occur if you get within range before turning on the lights. There's one where Sun tries to emerge and claws at Moon's face when he catches Cassie. (Sun also gets fed up and yells at you the longer you take to follow his directions.)
I really wish these games did have a mechanic where you just lay down when Moon comes after you. All he wants is 1) for ANYONE to take a nap & 2) to do sweet flips.

It definitely is a struggle. The fact that he dealt with that crap for 5 YEARS. I would have damn near lost my mind. I can’t function without my ADHD meds. The longest I went for without them and spending every day to get them desperately was a month. 5 years? Dude I wouldn’t have dealt with that shit and changed doctors immediately. It’s also frustrating because if it was something like heart meds or thyroid medicine the people at the doctors and pharmacy are sympathetic and on top of it. But god forbid it’s meds with mental illness where they all just shrug and say “meh”. And that’s why I get all my meds for mental stuff from a psychiatrist because they care since it’s literally their job to deal with anxiety, depression, adhd, ect. I hope everything ends up working out on marks end cause that is actual bs.

Edit: I believe it’s actually Freddy at the end showing Monty’s goal. Like the ride shows how he had his own show, then takes bonnies instrument, then he shows the band and Bonnie is gone. And the a statue of Freddy is decapitated. Showing his goals and plan. Without spoiling, bonnies fate can be found in the dlc. But I think you can put it together.

@@jakesburgThat’s just speculation, currently there’s no real answer as to what truly happened to Bonnie or who did it, there is some evidence that suggests Monty did it, but also evidence against it, such as his aggression only appearing after he got the claw upgrade, which only happened after Bonnie was already decommissioned, so Monty wouldn’t have had the aggression or the upgrade to do something like that at the time

I love the fact that the game punishes you for wearing the mask too often by bringing animatronics to your location and also creating fake barriers that can only be passed through in the real world. Makes it so that people won't constantly use the mask and will only use it when they need to.
