Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 diesel acceleration test note: Turn off TCS, Do a brake-torque launch, and just send it! It's not really fast and make sure you apply some brake before the apex of the curves! #sprinter #sprinter4x4 #vanlife
@@angelgjr1999 1000lbs cargo is not the ultimate test. the cargo of these can easily (and in a healthy way) exceed 5000lbs and i know we did much much more than that, on a daily basis. Still accelerated well.
Weird. Ford EcoBoost 2.7 makes 350lb-ft or more depending on application. Usually diesels are much torquier than gas engines, what's the catch? Intentional limit to reduce transmission wear and tear?
i find it funny every 0-60/0-100 video comes with their own disclaimer. ''Do not attempt on public roads'' or ''only professionals'' when they are self using the public road or bunch of amateurs.

Please redo test with 1000 lbs cargo. More realistic situation.

@@ikutiap5923 Good luck hauling 5k lbs of cargo uphill on a dirt road.
Damn moves way faster then my 15 3.0 very impressed with 0-50
that's good acceleration from a diesel that's carrying the weight of a van body.
And the next test will be a Bugatti Chiron, right?
Right?
I drove the same sprinter here in South Africa for my Business🇿🇦💪💪💪
Very good I drive one here in America.
it’s not so bad for a commercial vehicle. what’s that whining sound above 50 though?
4x4 is noisier on the road.

@@CarQuestion that has a loud 4x4 transfer case.
And videos of this engine upgraded? Tuned etc?
surprisingly quick... :D
For a big van
How is 0 to 60 in 11 seconds quick? A transit Ecoboost is 6.8 seconds. I hope you're being sarcastic.
Hell, a Promaster is around 8 seconds.
@@gunzforarmz it's a diesel van... for a diesel van that has huge range it's pretty decent
@@gunzforarmz low rpm diesel will make it slower with less gas being ignited

It’s a characteristic of all Diesel engines to have maximum torque at low RPMs
Ford Ecoboost for 2021 timed a 0 to 60 at 6.8 secs. This is not even near that speed.
It’s way detuned these 3.0s can make damn good power deleted and tuned
How do you get your Mercedes van to sound like a Dodge diesel truck how it makes the swoosh noise
Yeah It Can “Sprint” From 0-40 Real fast, But the 40-60 is just not good

Thanks mr the internet judge! But that is a real private part of land over here that we test them.... so yeah do not attempt on public road.
It's quicker!
Get the ford transit
9663mu only did 1!! :(
