Interesting, but there is a catch. Let's look at 7:26 in the table 1st column for Sunday, the day starts with Sun. You said the Day actually starts in the evening after sun set. If we go by this then Sunday's night planetary order (ie. technically Monday) should have started with Moon, instead starts with Jupiter. Only when we go with the assumption that the day starts from the Morning we can see the Horas fit in well. This proves that this Hora system is not invented by Jews or Abrahamic culture, but rather from another culture who considered their day starting from Sun rise. I hope You get what I mean ;)
@@FoolishFishBooks please don’t take it down. May be you can mention this update in description or in comment section and pin it. Pretty good video actually, keep it up 👍🏼
I'd like to add, you can combine the day and the hour to work with 2 planetary energies simultaneously. The day is the power and the hour is the archetype where it is put into effect. For example, should you want to restrict the effects of someone in psychosis for mental illness, you would perform an operation on Saturday to restrict or decrease, and use the hour of the Moon, which rules lunacy. This is just one out of 100's of example you can come up with. Another example maybe, to protect your child, one would use the Sun hour (Leo rules children) on a Thursday, Jupiter. There are 47 combination, and if you have a good list of correspondences. Lastly, to for an artist to motivate themselves, they would use the Venus hour on a Tuesday. I could literally go on and on. You won't find this in traditional grimoires, but I have successfully used this tactic for planetary magic for a long time. it works best when you can get 2 planets both in ruling signs coupled with the appropriate moon phase, whether you are attracting or repelling.
I love the sentiment here of do it right if you can, but the important thing is to do it to the best of your ability as circumstances allow. The structure is important and shouldn't be ignored, but neither should it be adhered to so closely it stifles your energy. The way I've always thought about these things is "Don't let the Perfect be the enemy of the Good."
Funny, I was thinking about getting the book for Planetary Magick by David Rankine and Sorita D'Este while on the way back and this popped up. Made my day!

I’ve seen some pretty interesting manuscripts from the 15 and 1600s that references this and the effects these luminaries have on the human psyche. It seems a lot of study went in to the daily planetary movements so comparisons could be made between different locations on earth as well. If I can find the author and book I shall link it 👌
It would make sense that the more aspects lined up in a ritual (month, day, hour, objects, etc) the more powerful the outcome would be similar to your alterations of the lbrp/lirp
I hope you don't mind me asking this question. You've mentioned before that you have a son at home. I was just wondering were do you practice your rituals? I have a daughter at home and I would rather not attract unnecessary spirits or negative energy her way, as she is still quite young. what are your recommendations on child protection?
Any lower-energy work I do, I keep for when my son and wife are away on holiday. I then cleanse the house out thoroughly before they return. Celestial, Planetary and pure enegy work, I do any time they're occuppied at other things. I close the door for a modicum of privacy, and create a circle (with a red rope with the extremities melted together to form a big red ring with martial boundary energies), perform an LBRP to clear the space, followed by an LIRP within it to have some energy to work with, and we're good to go! :)
I myself with my time constraints usually start my ritual Friday afternoon, but I use what phase of moon I am in according to the planet or planets that stand with it and that is how I use the planet planets energy and correspondences . I find when there is double planets involved with my phase of moon things tend to be either a little yin-yangish or very spot on and complimentary. What are your thoughts on this cuz I've been doing it for 20 years. I know about the traditional hours and days of planets I just cannot use a Monday a random Wednesday a Tuesday and so on Friday has been my day. I just found your channel I'm enjoying it I also love to watch Damien Echols also. Thomas Sheridan is also one of my favorites.
It really doesn't. I started(early 1980's) without a clear idea of this way of dividing up the day and just used normal day and time and had great results. You create 90% of magic from within, the other 10% is what's out there. Belief can conquer all things.
Question, how to find out the planetary hours for invoke/evoke demons? Like every demon is associated with a specific planet. How to find that out I’ve been searching! Thank you sir 🤘🏽
Hello, I've seen you using different interesting sources. I wanted to see what's your point of view on this book. Shams al-Ma'arif or Shams al-Ma'arif wa Lata'if al-'Awarif is a 13th-century grimoire written on Arabic magic and a manual for achieving esoteric spirituality. It was written by the Arab scholar Ahmad al-Buni who wrote it while living in Ayyubid Egypt, he died around 1225 CE. Thank you
Yes! This is kind of my point. Thought I'd the center. You can help thought with additional paraphernalia that is related to the thought, but lacking the paraphernalia won't prevent the magic from working 😊
Very insightful. I don't do planetary rituals but in my opinion, there's no perfect ritual, and thus I think discarding a ritual or spell as "invalid" because one element is missing is a very odd concept indeed. Whike I think it adds a lot to make everything as "right" as possible, having to creatively adapt to new and unforseen circumstances can make your practice a lot more "organic". I also think a very rigid practice can easily crumble under the tedium of it all. Anyways, sorry for the rambling, and great video, as always :D
You took the words out of my mouth :D Isn't the whole point of a solo or at least "alternative" practice to be precisely free to feel your way through the subtle feedback that you get from practising, without worrying about what your "master" will think, or what the other parishioners will say? There are times when precision is important, such as when you want to "crystalise" a particular planetary event into an object/talisman, or if you're evoking a specific spirit that doesn't normally respond well to human interaction, but for general energy work? I say doing what we can is better than analysis paralysis :D Thank you for the thoughtful comment, Charbonne :) Enjoy the weekend!
I may have missed it, but I can't seem find any information anywhere about this which may not have any real significanece, but is there a difference between Night and Day hours? Similar to how the Waxing Moon is good for a working to attract something and the Waxing Moon is a good time for getting rid of something? Agrippa speaks of the Spirit and the Intelligence of a planet and that the one is for benefic magick and the other for malefic magick.... would that apply here? Daytime Hours are good for benevolent workings and the Nighttime Hours are good for malevolent workings? I'm trying to get back into writing a book about potion-making and my overall knowledge of astrological influences and auspicious timing is lacking. Plus I'm trying to curve my desire to buy books upon books... so free information available across the internet is going to have to be my go to source. Unless you have a really really useful book recommendation.
I appreciate your discussion on the planetary hours and days. I've found it more helpful to simply use a sky tracker to see if the planet is above the horizon or below it. Would you want to construct a talisman in the hour of venus on a Friday even if the planet is not above you? I believe The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage had something to say about this in the chapter titled CONCERNING THE PLANETARY HOURS AND OTHER ERRORS OF THE ASTROLOGERS. Something to check out/ re-read. Nonetheless, a great video!
I agree that planetary times become essential when constructing talismans, since you're constructing a 'crystalisation' of a specific moment to carry forward into times when that moment is no longer present so that you can still tap into the energies of that moment. Is obviously going to be of little use to crystallise a moment that isn't the actual moment you want. But still, you can extend the lesson here to, say the material used to make the talisman. Naturally making your Sun talisman out of gold is going to enhance the solar affinities of the talisman, but that doesn't mean that a paper talisman can't have power...
As above, so below. As below, so above. One is the path of embodiment (bring the universe within you). One is the path of expansion (take you to the universe). The end is identical. Also, why not do both?
I have Jupiter that will trine my Uranus on May 14th. My solar return Venus is sitting on my natal Uranus. Should I still practice using the planetary hour or just work my magic when Jupiter is at 0°04" Pisces? I don't know planetary magic. But I can learn if you recommend it.😊
I invoked Jupiter on Thursday during Jupiter’s hour but I banished twenty minutes after Jupiter’s hour had shifted to Mars’s hour because I closed my eyes and lost track of time meditating on the invocation. Is that bad ?
I tried buying it through Hell Fire Club Books, but they just took my money and ghosted me (like so many others I now realise) when I tried to contact them about why it was taking so long to send the book. That was 18 months ago... I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually from a reputable source 😉👍
The repeating rythm in these tables seems to follow the sephirot. Saturn, jupiter, mars, sun, venus, mercury, moon...etc. each day starting at the planetary hour ruling that day. seeing that the 1st night-hour follows the 12th day-hour in this sequence, it seems more logical to me to use the (for instance) sunday night hours from sunset on sunday till sunrise on monday. That being said it makes more sense to me to start any given day at sunset the eavening before.. but folowing that train of thought, it feels like we would have to reorganise/reassociate the planetary nighthours to connect in sequence with the first day hour (at dawn).. What are your thoughts on that?
Using them as they are presented in the tabel as it is, lets the sequence flow naturaly. Using the night hours of the sunday from dusk on saturday would offset this. Hope i am not to confusing :)
@@FoolishFishBooks for me, just following the hour-sequence as it is makes the most sense. But I might experiment with changing the night associations as a whole to match the jewish day start-end. Just to satisfy my curiosity.. dusk on sunday till dawn on monday. Do you count that as solar or lunar time?
Distantly related, yes, different times being ideal for different energies. I think the main source for the Mansions of the Moon is the Picatrix, if you're curious.
Hello, Mr Foolish Fish! I have a question unrelated to this video topic (which I love). In your personal experience, have you ever summoned a solomonic angel/demon and seen it front of your eyes? I am very curious about solomonic magic and am curious as to whether it really works as described. Thanks! I love your videos! Keep it up :)
I'm so sorry, I'm going to have to pass on that question as a 'yes' would be as inaccurate as a 'no'. I hope next week's video (available in a few minutes to members) will help clarify why...
@@FoolishFishBooks It's fine, thank you so much for a response! :) I look forward to watching that video! I'm sure it will answer my quetions 👍🏻 Thanks!
@موقع فضيلة الشيخ ريان بن بشار That makes sense, thanks! You are right, it was rude! I feel bad now 😅 Didn't mean any offence, like you said! I might just give it a go myself 👍🏻
Great video! However, and forgive me if I misunderstood you, but it seams you said the day starts at sunset not sunrise. I've read several sources describing the calculations of planetary hours and none of them mention that. And infact the website in your video starts the the first hour of the day at sunrise. example the first hour of Sunday would start 6:30 am at sunrise. I don't know please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks so much. and thanks again for the info.
@@FoolishFishBooks O Okay. Thank you for clarifying. This is one of the most complicated concept in Occult to learn, probably because of the different ways authors explain it, and I learned it on my own. I created an Excel spreadsheet based on it, Nerd Alert! so now all I have to do is enter the hours for sunset and sunrise and everything gets calculated. Of course this was before I found out there were websites online that did if for you. Again cool video!

Here is a quick and easy hack if you want to do a ritual where the Planet of the Magical Hour, and the Planet of the Day are the same, but don't want to calculated the Magical Hours: Just do the ritual at Sunrise. The First Magickal hour of each day, which starts at Sunrise, is ruled by the same planet as the day itself.
QUESTION Is there a particular reason fo the division of the diurnal/nocturnal cycle into 12 parts? ___ Sharing mental notes; * Possible connections / pattern recognition Twelve Apostles ; Twelve signs of zodiac; Twelve phalanxes of the four fingers of the hand excluding thumb; [...] * Associating around time keeping in sacred texts The Bible speaks of twelve hours in a day (John 11:9), in addition to speaking about day, night, dawn, dusk, sunset, sunrise and midnight. The Quran prescribes the time period for the five prayers for the prayer to be valid, and the periods are tied to the sun's course apart from the midnight prayer (no sun to be seen). * Curious at how a culture/tribe bring structure to the universe by constructing a time keeping tool, using what is available. ___ As always, thought-provoking. Disregard my name please. When you are speaking about planets you suggest to use thermometer as a addition to a ritual wherein the planet mercury is involved. This isn't to take away anything from your suggestions but moreso to understand the correlation between mercury in a thermometer and a planet. If there is a good text regarding this specific topic please list it in your reply. Thankyou.
Hahaha! Of all the correlations, I would have thought that one would have been obvious 😅 But mercury is indeed the metal attributed to Mercury for some reason. That and various alloy metals like brass etc. which tend to be easier to use for creating talismans. The metal correspondences can be found in most grimoires, certainly the Greater Key of Solomon, but Crowley's 777 or Skinner's Complete Magician's Tables might be what you're after. 👍
My only thing with this stuff is, there's alot of places that opperate on different calendars or time systems. For example daylight savings. Or the Jewish calendar. It's very difficult to incorporate this stuff into that. At least for me Edit: come to think of it, if I just use the sun and a stick I can find out whatever time it is lol and in terms of day, if anyone is that well versed in astrology/astronomy , they could probably figure something out just by tracing the position of the heavens.
Disregard the name please. Perhaps taking into account first where the original practice took place could help when considering a specific practice or ritual. That being known you could then adjust for times in your location.
Unrelated to this topic but I would like to ask if anyone heard of reality shifting that's getting popular among teens,i could not find any information on it other than people talking about it at the moment,is this a made up thing or does it have any roots in magic?
Yes! Very complete :) I checked it out just before recording, but it seemed a little too convoluted for my taste, actually. I like the bare-bones straight-to-the-point aspect of Reaganium. But maybe I'm missing out. You use it, I take it?

Great video. Consider to obtain "The Magus" by F.Barrett 1801 which your ideas remind me of. I think you'll enjoy it very much.
I tried buying it through Hell Fire Club Books, but they just took my money and ghosted me (like so many others I now realise) when I tried to contact them about why it was taking so long to send the book. That was 18 months ago...
I'm sure I'll pick it up eventually from a reputable source 😉👍
What was the online site you used for the planetary hours? @Foolish Fish
@@010Lunar yes you're quite right! I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, but it's a very fair point!
@@010Lunar solar 😊
I wonder if this is related to the Mansions of the moon I've heard about?

I might just give it a go myself 👍🏻
new to this channel,,,,,,i dont know why im watching this other than i believe ,, just trying to find out how and why.. ? lol
What is the name of the app you use ?
Great video! However, and forgive me if I misunderstood you, but it seams you said the day starts at sunset not sunrise. I've read several sources describing the calculations of planetary hours and none of them mention that. And infact the website in your video starts the the first hour of the day at sunrise. example the first hour of Sunday would start 6:30 am at sunrise. I don't know please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks so much. and thanks again for the info.
You're completely right. Only Jewish sources have the day starting at sunset. This is an ooold video 😉
@@zalanahara270 there are apps too which will put the symbol of the current hour in your notifications bar.
Appropriate day for the topic.
E S , I used to be neurotic about doing particular Purposes according to
The Planetary Hours , to the Panchang Hindu Sidereal Emphemeris . The Day was divided into 2 Parts - The Light And The Dark Half , in relation to Krishna . And the Moon Transits the various Lunar Mansions , Nakshatras . It started as an enquiry into whether the Vedic Hindu Astrology was Valid and True Nature Science . With 5 Ciphers each day . Some dAys were a 5 X Day ! Meaning - NOT Good Enough To Do Anything , stay Home !
It Proved to be Viable And Valid . Whether there was another force making that (s) Occurred Or Happen , I don't know totally .
According to the Gnostic teachings each Day is Ruled by A Planet . And The 1st Planetary Hour at Sunrise Is That specific Planets Day as the 1st Hour of . Like Mercury ( which I thought was associated withe the Green Color , interesting Orange Too , Same Withe SunsDay Is referred To Michaels Day *+ ) at Sunrise on Wednesday starts off withe The Hour of Mercury . And then the orderly succession of the sequence of The Other Logos ... According to Google , And Now their Planetary Hour Chart , I saw was wrong info than before there .
There are online real time charts for this information too - However , infected with disinformation too . Also In Print And ALready in Olde Printing infected ! Fyi-ing
When studying some Vedic Astrology , One of My Teacher's ( who developed software for ) basically told Me - Not to go neurotic about it - " Anytime is A Good Time To Do Good .... Just do It before 12 pm ( Morning part ) " .
And another Person told Me about The Waxing And Wanning long hand of the Clock - to Utilize Accordingly to what You want to Increase Or Decrease .
To choose An Auspicious Time for Commencement is called Muhurtha in Hindu . Now its more of a
superstitious ' thing for Me to do , AnD it's Not Christian to do witchy as well . And its better To Pray And Live Under The Tree Of Life And Live going withe flow Of Principle , Purpose , Authentic And Genuine , that would be the Natural Go To ⚪➕🙏🌌🌎
Here is a quick and easy hack if you want to do a ritual where the Planet of the Magical Hour, and the Planet of the Day are the same, but don't want to calculated the Magical Hours:
Just do the ritual at Sunrise.
The First Magickal hour of each day, which starts at Sunrise, is ruled by the same planet as the day itself.
Of course. However when that happens at 3:50 am in the summer, it can be a challenge! 😄
@@FoolishFishBooks I guess it depend if waking up early, or doing Math is harder.

QUESTION
Is there a particular reason fo the division of the diurnal/nocturnal cycle into 12 parts?
___
Sharing mental notes;
* Possible connections / pattern recognition
Twelve Apostles ;
Twelve signs of zodiac;
Twelve phalanxes of the four fingers of the hand excluding thumb;
[...]
* Associating around time keeping in sacred texts
The Bible speaks of twelve hours in a day (John 11:9), in addition to speaking about day, night, dawn, dusk, sunset, sunrise and midnight.
The Quran prescribes the time period for the five prayers for the prayer to be valid, and the periods are tied to the sun's course apart from the midnight prayer (no sun to be seen).
* Curious at how a culture/tribe bring structure to the universe by constructing a time keeping tool, using what is available.

As always, thought-provoking.
Thank you.

Which rate of Abramelin book
how can oder abramelin book
The Celts considered the start of the day at sunset
Those giantz were smart
My only thing with this stuff is, there's alot of places that opperate on different calendars or time systems. For example daylight savings. Or the Jewish calendar. It's very difficult to incorporate this stuff into that. At least for me
Edit: come to think of it, if I just use the sun and a stick I can find out whatever time it is lol and in terms of day, if anyone is that well versed in astrology/astronomy , they could probably figure something out just by tracing the position of the heavens.
Disregard the name please. Perhaps taking into account first where the original practice took place could help when considering a specific practice or ritual. That being known you could then adjust for times in your location.
@@sociopaththoughtprocess6195 "disregard the name" 😂😂 that's funny. Good pointers I appreciate it

I'm afraid so. Membership is $2 per month 😊
The planetry hours play little importance it's the tattva hours and Luna timing that's crucial

1. Does time zones affect this?
2. Does daylight savings affect this?
