We have it in Hawai'i. But, these are foods we've loved for years. America can't handle it. Because, we've been enjoying Asian food for a couple of hundred years. America is just now finding out. You not ready. And, it's just as delicious as you've heard.

If I had to live off the food sold at my local 7-Eleven in Northridge, CA, I would be deceased in no time. 7-Elevens in other countries are hit and miss. Some are great, and some aren't. From what I recall when I was in Scotland, the 7-Elevens were just small stores with candy, drinks and magazines. Not much else.

Singapore, here I come...someday! It seems like such a safe and clean place to be--though I am aware of its reputation for being zealous in the law enforcement realm. Mike Chen always says that the highest compliment an Asian person can give a dessert is that it's not too sweet, yes? If and when I go to Singapore, 7-11, here I come!

Last time I was in Hawaii & Japan I really loved stopping by the 7/11’s The food is always delicious and a great value & variety, I just don’t understand why here in the US quality of the food in 7/11’s is so poor! I never buy any prepared food there. During the gas explosions here in Massachusetts we had to leave our home for 2 day and we stayed in a hotel in the next town, we stopped at the 7/11 to pick up a few snacks. They had fresh bakery products that looked delicious but when we got to our room and tried they they were disgusting, stale & horrible artificial flavor. 23:44

The 7-11, in Singapore is not the same in the states. Even Hawai''i' 7-11's you can eat there breakfast .lunch and dinner. Better than any 7-11's. I have relied on 7-11 in Singapore as well. Dined at the 7-11 at Clarke Quay. DId you have a Bak kut teh feast yet?
Singapore is supposed to be expensive but that same bag of chips would cost almost three dollars at Speedway or BP. I guess inflation is only in the US cos the companies here are greedy.

Sometimes Raina, your camera work is a bit too fast -- kind of motion sick fast... the experience would be beter if you slowed down your movements when in the stores. I agree too bad 7-11 doesn't have good food in the US. Studip SAD - standard American Diet --- very fattening diet -- need more Asian influence in the stores in the US.

Actually you can also try our Starbucks in Singapore. We have a lot of good food there too! The chicken foldover and lychee cheesecake are to die for.

That's Siew Mai, you can find them in Chinese restaurants serving dim sum
siu mai are little wrinkly flour wrappers steamed w beef or pork in them, usually. to me theyre an acquired taste -- sorta bland
