    The scene of the French advancing in front of the haka is frome the 2007 WC (followed by French victory). Their was no rule against it at the time. (The fact about the 2011 fine is correct, it's just not the correct video. The 2011 event was a lot more like the England one). I hate that rule, it sucks that teams just have to sit there while islanders are allowed their thing (which I love).

      it's an incredibly significant cultural act that connects them with generations of other players,,, why do you think the other players have a right to try and disrupt it?? it'd be like booing during the anthems! rugby is at its best when it's respectful and multicultural, go watch football if you want divas and racists... though it wouldn't be surprising when you call them 'islanders' so derogatorily

      @@FearlessOnFourWheels why? what is the english cultural equivalent of this historic practice? maybe the scots, irish, welsh, they at least have celtic culture to draw from, and the samoans, tongans and many other pacific nations already have their own equivalents. if there was culture to form a response from it's not one that needs respecting in my personal opinion; nevertheless, the responses shown here only reflect a lack of respect which rugby should be better than, as enforced by fines...

    • @Quintessence98
      @Quintessence98 7 місяців тому +6

      @@brightrocksky I NEVER said disrupt, I would just love to see more of what France did in 2007, which was just getting closer as kind of a challenge. I get that the haka has cultural significance but it doesn't happen in a vacuum, I don't find it very fair to make the opposing players just sit there while the other team is making threatening faces and gestures towards them.
      English is not my first langage so I'm sorry if there's anything derogatory in 'islanders', it's certainly not my intention and you will notice that I said 'islanders - which I love'.
