top stuff!! One thing I miss in filming our #music #improv videos is a good piano with strings. Maybe one day I will get the Gem Piano Workstation repaired (just a few minor hiccups with this 30 yr old, but wonderful instrument that was 20 yr ahead of its time)
It make little sense that they put out the gp609 right before this.... i mean this is a better instrument..and they should integrate this in the grand cabinet.
How do you find the keys? When depressing them, do you find them punchy? What’s the feel? Can you hear the the tapping of the keys when the volume is turned down or low or is it silent?
All key actions make some sound when the volume is off, if you could turn the sound off on an acoustic piano it would be really loud. This one is pretty quiet. Feel is very tactile and representative of a really good piano!
H Xhivo. 2 different ways of achieving a similar result. If you think about how you express yourself on the keyboard both will let you do this extremely well. The Kawai has perhaps the most authentic initial feel however once you get into it the LX708 responds very well and allows a very connected feel with the instrument. Best to try and have a play if you can 😊Cheers - Rudi
@@bettermusic Thank you for the reply! Actually I ordered a Kawai VPC1 and some good headphones and monitors. I am hoping to get a good setup for less money than the LX706. Also pianoteq is a modelled virtual piano, so should be really expressive even if it doesn't sound as realistic as sampled pianos according to a lot of people, it should feel more connected to play it.
Iv play both and find the lx708 more realistic... but dont forget its probably a lot because of the modelling... no matter how realistic the kawai action is...it trigger dated sample that are limited to 128 layer of velocity...the roland has 16000 layer of velocity on each key.. not talking about evrething else that it does.. it react like a real acoustic. The pedal also. Nothing come even close. But for the hobbyist the kawai is allright.
Nice car!
Can you tell me what the song is while playing the "1976 suitcase" sound? I really like it!
Rudi is just improvising! Not an actual song, though it could sound like something he’s heard.

Is it possible to dismantle the LX708 to make it possible to get it through tight corners etc.

How does the action compare to the Kawai GFII?

How does the action from the LX708 compare to the Kawai CA98?
Kawai hands down...!
We have to wait for proper comparison, hopefully in November.
In America, the Kawai is a lot more money

@@Kougeru order kawai from Thomann to USA, it's much cheaper
I wonder how much I can get if I trade in my LX17 😕
