The full 90 minutes from arguably the biggest fixture in Brighton & Hove Albion's history. One goal separated Albion and Hereford at the bottom of Division 3 as the two sides entered the final day of the 1996/97 season. The Seagulls needed a win or a draw to retain their place in the Football League, but Hereford knew victory would keep them up and condemn Steve Gritt's men to the drop.

Jump forward 26 years and Albion today will be playing our first game in Europe. Part of me wishes you could jump back in time and tell those away fans all about the journey ahead. They would try and have you sectioned.

Had to listen to this game on a Sony Walkman cassette radio sitting in Queens Park Brighton with the kids, when Robbie scored I screamed in front of a hundred people, I looked a right plumb but did I care?

I was at work so had to take my lunch break for the 2nd half and watch final score on BBC 1!! That last 10 minutes was probably for the best I couldn't watch it live!
