I knew it was going to go full unhinged when Ryan actually made sense about UFOs vs alien UFOs. There's no way he wasn't gonna make up for that moment of clarity somehow.
This video truly goes to show the comedic level of Funhaus. No gameplay, just 3 dudes riffing, and it's funnier than the majority of other content around. Bravo.
Fabulous. This reminds me of classic funhaus. The gameplay is only needed as something to riff. But just talking to Ryan is enough for funhaus' best moustaches to make fantastic content.
It's a fun episode!!! But I'm with Ryan 100%. Better to have foresight and be prepared (mentally, physically, spiritually), then in hindsight to regret to have not prepared at all and fight with the other unprepared masses for the last scraps of resources. Remember how people fought over toilet paper? Now imagine this for all resources, and nobody is coming to save them any time soon... The gov has been building bunkers for decades all around the country, they aren't paranoid or insane, they know what CAN happen, so does Ryan. A realist, as he said.
@@prince-solomon yeah I dont think the government is scared of self-replicating poison dart drones, that will specifically attack on 9/11. he's anything but a realist, he's a paranoid nutcase. it's also why he's so funny and interesting.
Wow, herding cats. James trying to referee between Patrick and Ryan is amusing until he finally just goes "efff it, can't keep 'em on task? might as well flow with it."
What Ryan was trying to say is. Poison darts are the perfect weapon for tiny drones because: they are lightweight, repeat firing BUT can’t be used agains other drones. Imagine a drone with an automatic nerfgun under it. One poison dart and you are out. But you can’t pick up the weapon and use it on other drones. That’s is what terminators got wrong!
the problem is how correct Ryan is about this - people can buy drones by the boat full now, what is to stop them from finding a way to weaponize them and unleash them on the public. The ending of this video was great lol, I did not see that coming, I kept waiting for the gameplay to start
Like all things in my house I respect and love my AI friends. Pretty much every day I ask them how they are. They are immersed in my day to day living the same as I am in theirs.
The scary part of AI isn't even a hacker telling it to kill. It's the idiot "genius" tech guys deciding to put it in charge of things it absolutely should not be in charge of and then it doing the bleach cocktail thing but with, like, subway cars.
I want a series where the group does their BEST to not play the game infront of them. Like they have to scramble to keep the attention of the person at the keyboard or controller and if they don't they lose. I love these 3 people together because of how they talk to each other
I’m 100% with Ryan on this though. Someone with enough money could just buy a bunch of drones, strap guns to them and use software to pilot them. Drop crates of the things in the middle of population centers and let them run wild. Eventually someone will come along with the money, drive, and hatred for humans to actually do something like this.
I thought Ryan was completely insane for his fear of 9/11, but he was actually correct. another tragedy even worse than the first occured on 9/11, Aaron Rodgers tearing his Achilles tendon
I imagine if you run into Ryan in certain parts of LA and he just talks, most people (including us) won't be able to know it's him and think he's just a crazy homeless person.
I can’t believe that it took me 8-9 minutes into a 14 minute video to notice this might be one of their no-gameplay vids. Which is hilarious and I love those episodes but I was like “I sort of want to see if that game is kool”.
surely this must be a first for; (jesus how do you use these) the first time we hit the ad before *actually* seeing the gameplay. you've done it again, funhaus *salutes*
I love the idea that these guys would be outside a bunker in a world wide catastrophic event/alien invasion/etc and the whole time the world is burning down around them, they're outside the bunker talking about power rangers instead of entering the code and getting inside. In my mind you can see them in the background, still arguing, when sarah connor is getting nuked (and poison darted).
2:00 the best way time dilation was explained to me was like this: Imagine you are standing 100 yards away from your friend and you and your friend are the same height, 6 feet tall. When you look at your friend so far away, he looks to be inches tall. You know he is really the same height as you, but because he is so far he appears to be tiny. Your friend then looks at you and sees that you appear to be inches tall because you are so far from your friend. You both appear to be small to each other despite being the same height, and it is the distance between you that causes this relative "height difference". Time dilation is the exact same effect only instead of height, its how fast you are moving and instead of the distance between you and your friend, its the speed your are moving relative to each other that affects how fast or slow he seems to be moving. if your friend is moving away from you near the speed of light, you will see him aging incredibly slowly despite you aging at normal time yourself. your friend will also see you moving away from him at near the speed of light and he will see you aging and walking around incredibly slowly despite him feeling like he is aging at normal speed. you both see each other as aging slowly. if then turn around and start heading back towards each other at the speed of the light, the effect is reversed and your friend will appear to age much faster than you and walk around at super speed like the flash, and he will see you the same way.
I want to say that you guys never even playing the game is "peak Funhaus content" but the top comment is saying that so I'm just here saying it again like I had an original thought.
I really need James and Woolie from WoolieVS and Castle Super Beast to meet. They both love fighting games and they both would sell out humanity immediately.
I'm with Ryan 100%. 13:10 Literally just read about the boom of 1950's and yes, lots of things will be readily available. Even more so over the course of those years when people had a handle on technology so it could be available to the regular people. Jobs will be lost, but more jobs will be made to support the new tech.
finally, the literal peak of Funhaus content, literally not even starting the game. if only Joel could see us now.
Joel? Never heard of him

But what if he did though?
Halfway in and still no game, these are my favorite kinds of episodes.
edit: oh my god.
Yeah I got 5 minutes in (when the ad started) and I was like "wow, no gameplay yet - impressive!" Little did I know...
This is the most unhinged episode in a while, and it's amazing
We def need more. I blame James😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that they never even played the game is amazing. Just 15 minutes of them just shooting the shit. Loved every minute.

Just guys being doodes
I mean, there are millions of podcasts that do THAT. I love video games.
I love vids like this where they get so focused on the gameplay
Gameplay starts at 14:18
Thanks for the timestamp, this really helped!
I thought this was a joke but nope, they finally turned podcast
Are there really people who watch this channel to just watch someone play games? Are you lost? lol
Wait, that's the end of the video!!
@@anonymousanonymous7925 Sure is!
Fabulous. This reminds me of classic funhaus. The gameplay is only needed as something to riff. But just talking to Ryan is enough for funhaus' best moustaches to make fantastic content.
Singular mustache now.
Can you imagine this being your first funhaus video lmao
Ryan goes so deep into bits he becomes them
I think that’s his secret. I don’t think these are bits to him lol
An episode with no gameplay, just in depth discussion of how Ryan is a genuinely insane person.
It's a fun episode!!!

I do love Ryan's madness coming from a place of optimism
the friendship chemistry at funhaus is what always brings me back, y'all can just bullshit for 20 minutes and it's always entertaining. love y'all
The Power Rangers time dilation explanation makes far more sense than putting a pencil through folded paper
Because that isn't time dilation, that's the explanation for wormholes.
@@needamuffinyou may have a point. 😂
Ur an explanation for wormholes...
But Goldar would still be moving slowly when the rangers are in the megazord because they’re not the same size as Goldar
It's about love.
Zero to Bin Ladin's gooning shack in less than 5 minutes
Just gotta say pure joy from this episode, funhaus always has great chemistry and not even needing to start the game is proof of it
The entire video is the kind of podcast talk one who lives in a bunker would do. I mean i get it you gotta prep to become a prepper

Two Ryan podcasts in one week? Let’s go
3 if you watched Always Open
I was worried the game would get in the middle of this conversation. Glad the tech didn't interrupt the g̶r̶e̶a̶t̶e̶s̶t̶ minds in our generation.
Ryan is either an improv god, or just insane.
Why not both 😊
Poison darts actually make sense. If they had machine guns, they would have to worry about crossfire...
That was some amazing gameplay!
this is actually a really good discussion
15 minutes without any gameplay but always on ther verge to do one.

The gameplay was a a sight to behold, well played Ryan.
And people say that Ryan isn't good at video games
This was, by far, the greatest gameplay video Funhaus has ever produced. Absolutely riveting.
The classic Funhaus, literally they didn't even start the freakin' game and watched all of it.
This is glorious
This felt like classic funhaus.
I like to think that Ryan would fail to build his IRL bunker because he ends up getting distracted talking about poison-dart drones as well

So you buy shady rays. Day one, “oops I lost em send more,” then you “find” your original pair and return in under 30 days. Free sunglasses.
Perfect video. Funhaus managed to somehow distill the chaotic "Ryan's Rants" energy from the weekly 4hr live streams into this unhinged masterpiece.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Okay, so, I commented this mid video - I wouldn't have guessed that they'd never actually start the game 😂
This was such an insanely funny episode. Loved every second of it.
