On question 17 (a), would it be correct to write the answer as:
(x-y)[ 3(x-y) - 2sqrt ]?
Umm...no it wouldn't...because when you factor out the (x - y) you are left with just 2...cheers

Thanks for this video. For question 13, would it be allowed to work on 13/30 as opposed to 0.43...?? What I did was divide both 13 and 30 by 3, to get the equivalent fraction 4.333/10, then divided by 10 to get 0.4333/1 (or just 0.4333 as asked).

Just do a few questions every few hrs. You can always watch a vid first, then try paper. Or try a question, then watch answer. Repeat. Ok?
For the cumulative frequency I always thought it was the midpoint of the inequality not the max does that matter?
End point always. Mid point is for mean and freq polygons. Cheers

The teachers themselves do not have access, only the exams officer does, and unfortunately I do go on study leave on Thursday, so will not be in school as frequently as normal

Probably not for this academic year. There were two specimen papers, and I may do the last five questions of each of those. But it is doubtful. I have done ten NEW SPEC higher papers so far, that is probably enough...cheers

What is ur estimation on the grade boundaries in the real maths exam.
I really have no idea. Sorry.
They base them entirely on us, if every single student in the county got around 10 marks out of the full 240 then a grade 9 will be something like 15 marks, but if everyone got 230 out of 240 then a grade 9 would be 239. It's impossible to predict but people are saying it's likely the grade boundaries won't be ridiculously high.
