Just being smart with towers if I get cannot be slower below base speed ill use more stun towers and sometimes the minion tank dudes to buy time against stun immune waves and vice versa with freeze waves. Tl;dr almost no mods are complete brick if you are smart with placements.

Having 2 lucky divines in 10 maps and claiming about 4 divines per hour is a clickbait, lol. After nerf to epidemiology blighted maps are just bad - any alc'n'go strategy beats it. If you are not trading/flipping on second account while doing blight - do not do it, they are bad for currency.

Tower strat is old is will probably never change without a direct nerf to Blight. No real changes to Blight this league on the tree either, which is sad. Divines are actually pretty common in Blight, but 2 in 10 maps is indeed lucky. But to straight out say any alch and go strat is better, is straight wrong/requires you to sit on trade or have a trader to even be remotely profitable.

Whats sad about every blighted map ever is that I can't ever do it. I have a mid range PC and the game is so horribly optimized that I can't run blighted maps because placing turrets a couple minutes in just is too laggy and ends up in failure every time :(
I've started Sanctum league couple of weeks ago and this league was my first mapping experience. I found blight maps super fun to run but hella difficult, im just upgrading random stuff randomly spread out throughout the map and this video makes me even more excited for running blight maps, tyvm
Just fyi if you can still run cannot be stunned maps, you just have to slightly adjust the strat. You can still use petrify tower because it doesn’t stun but reduces action speed to 0%. I have run many blight ravaged with cannot be stunned and it still works, frost cage towers can help as well.
Hello, nice Video. I have one little information that can help beginners. your empowering Towers need a "line of sight" to the Towers they should buff. If he have not to the stun tower, then the stunlook can break. You can see from the small circle at the bottom of a tower whether it is affected by empowering.
Very well made guide, the only thing i could suggest is maybe adding a small section detailing which maps are the best and the worst in terms of layout (to help beginners even more). Also i checked on standard with blighted maps from previous leagues (I'm on xbox) and apparently you can't use orbs of horizons to change them, didn't know that, kind of a bummer.
I like using the tier 4 flying minions for damage. They have a big range and dps, and minion damage is much cheaper to anoint. You don't have to be a minion build at all.
I believe the problem with that is how some monsters will be immune. Meanwhile the burning ground from meteor towers still kills monsters even if they’re immune

I want to add, that there is another mod that reads " monsters can not be slowed below base movement speed " that is just as bad or worse than the "can not be stunned modifier"
Pretty sure the tower activation range is what is lighted up on the minimap. As you move around, you can see that bubble move with you. Instead of thinking about 1-2 screens, just think that if you don't see the lanes lit up on the minimap, it's not activated.
@@knicklichtjedi Yep. The lane dots that light up on the minimap. This seems to be the range since the lanes start getting swamped as the dots start going out.
Best way to get more blighted maps is to pick up map drop/duplication nodes, run higher tier of scarab as well in your maps and you'll have tabs of them easily after 20 maps or so. When you and/your build is more proficient you can annoint with triple teal oils, which makes everything spawn faster netting more profit. Ravaged maps is where the loot is, and theres certaintly many guides out there to help with that, lastly remember to corrupt your maps! if they are not corrupted they cannot drop tainted oils also map mods to avoid is: "monsters cant be stunned" (gets rid of your seismic towers) and "monsters cannot move below base value", that will stop your chilling towers
cross posting from twitter but make sure you roll over the mod: Monsters' Action Speed cannot be modified to below base value. (if this mod still exists, not 100% sure) archnem mobs and their nerfed state can spawn with a stun immunity, if you have the above mod on your map they will be able to walk through the ice/fist venn diagrams and destroy your pump. it's branching exile!!!
I might be wrong but I think you also shouldn't have "monster speed cannot be modified" or smth mod on your map. When enough oils I run ravaged maps with 3 silver oils for 300%+ quant +Red oils and then just reduced tower cost and whatever else you like
I downloaded Poe about 2 weeks ago for the first time. Figured out a few things and got into blighted maps. Just traded for my 3rd div. I like using 3 amber oil anoint Makes things easy can instant upgrade every building spot that opens. Thank you for the video I havent been using Frost tower or lightning. Has helped throwing a few in here and there. Almost put in a map with the immune to stun mod while watching this lol. Still afraid of the immune response atlas skill atm. I would love a guide to scarabs though. The atlas skill tree I have makes my scarabs not be used and add to pack size. I'm using a random scarab right now but honestly have no idea if its helping anything or not
You're doing great! Don't worry about understanding everything immediately -- you will make mistakes and you will learn, but you're doing things right for now: when you have a question like 'what are these scarab things?', you can read the wiki, try find a UA-cam guide, or join a community and ask around :) my Discord channel is linked in the description and is full of very kind and helpful people who would be more than happy to answer all of your questions, no matter how simple. This game is complex, but the community knows it and is incredibly helpful to new players, so never feel shy to ask someone anything
Once I discovered the frost tower and meteor tower enchants, I went from not ever being able to finish any blighted map to farming blight-ravaged maps overnight. Both enchants are basically manditory for blight.
2 divines in 10 maps)) from my own statistic ( based on around 1-1.5k blight maps last league ) - it more like 1 divine in 30-35 maps. Same with uniques . But guide is good, especially for people who struggle with blights
Very nice. Vey rewarding for so little effort. I always avoided blight maps like the plague. Not anymore. I ran a few normal blights to practice and its super easy so far.. Its really nice having a full inventory of stuff every blight map.
For many leagues, minion builds were the king of blighted maps. The content creators that focus on minion builds were doing the maps afk, with nearby minions cleaning up anything that got close to the pump. Totems are also really good on blighted maps. Freezing Pulse totems can help lock down anything that gets through.

I tend to use a hybrid of the meteor / burning ground with empowering and stun towers at main choke points and then back them up with scout towers using those more ‘isolated’ towers due to the OP range they have
I tried Blight last leaugue and i'd love to play more of it but my game crashes 1 out of 4 times when i build a tower, it's a known bug that's been ignored since 3.18 and it really kills my fun...
In addition to the Meteor Burning Ground, I like [Sepia Oil + Azure Oil] for Empower Tower Buff Effect. Super cheap and can carry you, until you drop a Silver Oil yourself.
Finally someone that shows us what the items do. Most people just do a tutorial on the mode itself and how it works which is like duhhh but what do I do it for? Thanks for the great vid!

I heard that alching your blight maps doesn't actually increase the quantity of the chests, only the loot that drops on the floor after you've completed the map. Is this true?
nice video, thanks! I read, that the 'juicing' of the map (chicles, alch) does just influence the loot-drop in the middle of the map, not the cysts. So I ran a lot of blue blight-maps, annoyed them with violet/crimson/black and got some nice loot, too (or sepia, amber, verdant when I level my new character while farming, which is not very effective I think 😀).
I believe that the quant of the map affects the number of chests, at a reduced effect. This is what is says on the maps and it has certainly been my experience (especially with blight ravaged).
Nice video man. Only thing I can sugest is that Meteour Tower is necessary, the burning ground can pass trough fire immunity tower and buble protection.
I actually prefer the more open maps, there the meteor towers can damage multiple lanes, where as in a map like toxic sewers, the walls get in the way so ur towers can only damage the lane you run for.
I’ve been able to farm about 1-2 div per hour using 3 azure oil on tier 3+ blighted maps. Probably better methods but it’s pretty cheap if you’re stocked on oils.
Hey, thank you for the video, made me lean into blight in the atlas tree. I still wonder tho what influence does the "% stronger monsters" or "add unique / strong" monsters have. Does it spawn more chests in the end, or whats the deal why I should roll the map "hard"? Cheers
Love this video as I'm doing Blight this league. Any particular reason why you don't go for the Temporal Bubble upgrade? Considering that's almost a stun as well? Asking because the T3 Seismic tower is fairly heavy on laptop processing power.

Sadly I get kicked out to my desktop as soon as the lanes start to spawn and I start building the first towers and I haven't found a thread that could help me fix that problem. Any suggestions or tipps how to fix that? It gets rly frustrating and made me brick 4 out of 5 maps so far EDIT: I fixed my problem after several unsuccessful approaches by simply turning off all my MTXs, now it runs smoothly. Hope this helps some of you that might run into the same problem

nice strat, i've tryed one map that i had but with clear, sepia and amber anoint (slower monster, cheaper tower and tower do more dmg) because i was not sure how it will impact my potato pc and it was nice. even with 3k latency it was success ^_^
Very Nice,but it's much more harder on console,since you can't just sit at the pump and comfy clicking the tower from distance,you have to go to them up close and personal for upgrading ... but anyway,very good steat thx for it😅💪
What's the net effect, though? I couldn't find that thread. In testing was there a stealth buff to drops/chests in blighted maps? That %effect modifier was huge for quality stacking, as well as oil effect. The only way I see the loss of %effect would be if ALL blight atlas passives ALSO applied to blighted maps to make up for this loss - they didn't last league. Can anyone verify/explain?
Nice vid man. Question: I've been struggling with bad rng on ravaged maps in terms of immune to both stun/freeze bosses and mobs, is there any counter to that? Feels like its either smooth run with strategy or fail with unlucky spawn of immunity mobs (no there's no mod on map)
You can anoint 25% empowering effect, so that the chilling/seismic/empowering combo is still effective, even against immunity. A tip is wait a bit for the second lane to spawn so you can get a better tower placement. 2 meteor towers in the opposite sides should be enough at first - focus on getting 3 - 4 c/s/e combo as quickly as possible. I ran Dunes regularly and had no problem with the layouts, even those in the wild open. The rare bad layouts were when the lanes spawned alongside the walls and allowed no tower to be built within 2 screens. 3 Sepia, 3 Clear and 3 Amber should make it super comfortable. I recently changed to 2/2/2 and added 3 Opalescent for better rewards and still do just fine.
@@th6410 Thank you so much for reply! Yeah I do run the emp effect too, I was just messing with the early setup at toxic sewers due to the lack of tower spawns but now I'll try to be more patient and use meteor to survive the starting spawns, see how that goes :D
annoint rings with indigo + violet (burning ground damages mobs resistant to fire) and silver + opalescent, that will help you slow down the mobs more.
@@NicholasBurke-gu7rl that is known strat for regular mapping and normal blight maps. For ravaged however its not enough against tanky bosses with immunity. The only way to stop them is CC combo of towers with increased effect but you might get unlucky tower placement spawns and lose before being able to create proper chokepoints. It helps to play some minion builds to buy time in these scenarios but back then I played melee build which couldn't really keep up with unlucky tower spawns. Its been 3 weeks since then, I went for consistent clears with normal blighted maps. Ravaged were waste of time and money due to inconsistency
I read a while back that towers "don't work" when not in your screen. Is this still true? It's part of the reason I don't like running blight as I hate running between large locations just because my towers "turn off" when I'm not near them. Blight for beginners. But immediately you are talking about anoiting and other stuff. Just like Zizaran and all other PoE creators can't just give a BEGINNER the basics. Beginner guide should show what to do when you encounter one before you show how to make blighted maps. I mean we are beginners not UA-camrs with 6k hours in the game. Is there anyone that makes simple to understand and straight to the point videos? It's 4 minutes into the "beginner guide" until I see anything I'm familiar with, or actual info a beginner needs. Thanks for the effort. I did learn a little.
There's always a tricky line to ride between not assuming that your audience knows anything at all, and also assuming that they must have a very basic baseline of knowledge before being able to understand a new concept. In the same way that I wouldn't expect to have to explain that 1+1 = 2 to a person watching a video on Calculus, I have to assume that people would at least be able to understand the concept of anointing before they're ready to do this - but yeah, it definitely would be a good thing to add the next time I do a video like this!
I know that you mentioned that the build is not important... but I am thinking to start this weekend the league with a witch and blight maps as a league starter and make some currency for a future build. Any witch starter league build that works good for blight maps? is the occulist PC a good choice?
That should be pretty good - if you're mobile and res capped, that's all you really need :) Chronic Painless's Cold BV is probably my top recommendation for league starter builds at the moment
Did they nerf blight map, i did 25+ blight maps most of them are t10+ half of them are t13+ and i got 1 golden oil and 2 exalt for all this, i remember teh last time i did it i could get 1 exalt every few maps, even t8 blight maps!!.....whats wrong now?
My biggest issue with Blight is not blight MAPS but blight ENCOUNTERS within regular maps. Any tips for those? Sometimes I completely stomp them, sometimes I get completely stomped and there's no seeming reason as to why they would be so dramatically different in terms of difficulties. Blighted Maps themselves I never have any issues with at all.
Hmm for those I often just use a chilling tower and meteor and assist more by attacking mobs which works well. I'm open to ideas from other people too :)

A little information you can upgrade green tower to weakness because they keep the buff they grant and improve the damage monster take

I would love to see a top 5 (10?) builds that are great for blight-ravaged maps, as if there were no towers (just in case)
For many leagues, minion builds were the king of blighted maps. The content creators that focus on minion builds were doing the maps afk, with nearby minions cleaning up anything that got close to the pump. Totems are also really good on blighted maps. Freezing Pulse totems can help lock down anything that gets through.
Carrion golem is made for blight content. You can enter the map and start the pump and don't build any towers, still fine
#1 phantasmal unearth/cremation. Nothing compares.

Explode chains are insane you just need to kill 1 mob and if you have explode ignite or poison then 1 shots bosses

The minion towers t4 scout tower is also a good option if you get a bad spawn where a lot of the portals are immune to the meteor ones. Great video !
Burning ground enchant doesnt care about their immunity on meteor
The zizran scout tower strat has worked pretty well for me
Yeah that one is very solid but this one is actually even better, especially for Blight Ravaged maps! :)
I tend to use a hybrid of the meteor / burning ground with empowering and stun towers at main choke points and then back them up with scout towers using those more ‘isolated’ towers due to the OP range they have

I tried Blight last leaugue and i'd love to play more of it but my game crashes 1 out of 4 times when i build a tower, it's a known bug that's been ignored since 3.18 and it really kills my fun...
There is a programm which removes all unnecessary effects in PoE
In addition to the Meteor Burning Ground, I like [Sepia Oil + Azure Oil] for Empower Tower Buff Effect.
Super cheap and can carry you, until you drop a Silver Oil yourself.
Finally someone that shows us what the items do. Most people just do a tutorial on the mode itself and how it works which is like duhhh but what do I do it for? Thanks for the great vid!

I heard that alching your blight maps doesn't actually increase the quantity of the chests, only the loot that drops on the floor after you've completed the map. Is this true?

I read, that the 'juicing' of the map (chicles, alch) does just influence the loot-drop in the middle of the map, not the cysts. So I ran a lot of blue blight-maps, annoyed them with violet/crimson/black and got some nice loot, too (or sepia, amber, verdant when I level my new character while farming, which is not very effective I think 😀).
I believe that the quant of the map affects the number of chests, at a reduced effect. This is what is says on the maps and it has certainly been my experience (especially with blight ravaged).
The tower function range is as far as you can see the dots from the line on map when you have it open

Nice video man. Only thing I can sugest is that Meteour Tower is necessary, the burning ground can pass trough fire immunity tower and buble protection.

I actually prefer the more open maps, there the meteor towers can damage multiple lanes, where as in a map like toxic sewers, the walls get in the way so ur towers can only damage the lane you run for.
Did you spec altas tree for blight? Those “40% cheaper tower upgrade” nods can come in handy.
None of the atlas passives affect blighted maps, only blights that you find in maps

I’ve been able to farm about 1-2 div per hour using 3 azure oil on tier 3+ blighted maps. Probably better methods but it’s pretty cheap if you’re stocked on oils.

Blight scales quite well with investment too. Just make sure you have a strict filter

Love this video as I'm doing Blight this league. Any particular reason why you don't go for the Temporal Bubble upgrade? Considering that's almost a stun as well? Asking because the T3 Seismic tower is fairly heavy on laptop processing power.

Sadly I get kicked out to my desktop as soon as the lanes start to spawn and I start building the first towers and I haven't found a thread that could help me fix that problem.
Any suggestions or tipps how to fix that? It gets rly frustrating and made me brick 4 out of 5 maps so far
EDIT: I fixed my problem after several unsuccessful approaches by simply turning off all my MTXs, now it runs smoothly. Hope this helps some of you that might run into the same problem

nice strat, i've tryed one map that i had but with clear, sepia and amber anoint (slower monster, cheaper tower and tower do more dmg) because i was not sure how it will impact my potato pc and it was nice. even with 3k latency it was success ^_^

What's the net effect, though? I couldn't find that thread. In testing was there a stealth buff to drops/chests in blighted maps? That %effect modifier was huge for quality stacking, as well as oil effect.
The only way I see the loss of %effect would be if ALL blight atlas passives ALSO applied to blighted maps to make up for this loss - they didn't last league.

Nice vid man. Question: I've been struggling with bad rng on ravaged maps in terms of immune to both stun/freeze bosses and mobs, is there any counter to that? Feels like its either smooth run with strategy or fail with unlucky spawn of immunity mobs (no there's no mod on map)
You can anoint 25% empowering effect, so that the chilling/seismic/empowering combo is still effective, even against immunity. A tip is wait a bit for the second lane to spawn so you can get a better tower placement. 2 meteor towers in the opposite sides should be enough at first - focus on getting 3 - 4 c/s/e combo as quickly as possible.
I ran Dunes regularly and had no problem with the layouts, even those in the wild open. The rare bad layouts were when the lanes spawned alongside the walls and allowed no tower to be built within 2 screens. 3 Sepia, 3 Clear and 3 Amber should make it super comfortable. I recently changed to 2/2/2 and added 3 Opalescent for better rewards and still do just fine.
@@th6410 Thank you so much for reply! Yeah I do run the emp effect too, I was just messing with the early setup at toxic sewers due to the lack of tower spawns but now I'll try to be more patient and use meteor to survive the starting spawns, see how that goes :D
annoint rings with indigo + violet (burning ground damages mobs resistant to fire) and silver + opalescent, that will help you slow down the mobs more.
@@NicholasBurke-gu7rl that is known strat for regular mapping and normal blight maps. For ravaged however its not enough against tanky bosses with immunity. The only way to stop them is CC combo of towers with increased effect but you might get unlucky tower placement spawns and lose before being able to create proper chokepoints. It helps to play some minion builds to buy time in these scenarios but back then I played melee build which couldn't really keep up with unlucky tower spawns. Its been 3 weeks since then, I went for consistent clears with normal blighted maps. Ravaged were waste of time and money due to inconsistency

I read a while back that towers "don't work" when not in your screen. Is this still true? It's part of the reason I don't like running blight as I hate running between large locations just because my towers "turn off" when I'm not near them.

Blight for beginners. But immediately you are talking about anoiting and other stuff. Just like Zizaran and all other PoE creators can't just give a BEGINNER the basics.
Beginner guide should show what to do when you encounter one before you show how to make blighted maps. I mean we are beginners not UA-camrs with 6k hours in the game.
Is there anyone that makes simple to understand and straight to the point videos? It's 4 minutes into the "beginner guide" until I see anything I'm familiar with, or actual info a beginner needs.

There's always a tricky line to ride between not assuming that your audience knows anything at all, and also assuming that they must have a very basic baseline of knowledge before being able to understand a new concept. In the same way that I wouldn't expect to have to explain that 1+1 = 2 to a person watching a video on Calculus, I have to assume that people would at least be able to understand the concept of anointing before they're ready to do this - but yeah, it definitely would be a good thing to add the next time I do a video like this!

I know that you mentioned that the build is not important... but I am thinking to start this weekend the league with a witch and blight maps as a league starter and make some currency for a future build. Any witch starter league build that works good for blight maps?

That should be pretty good - if you're mobile and res capped, that's all you really need :) Chronic Painless's Cold BV is probably my top recommendation for league starter builds at the moment

Did they nerf blight map, i did 25+ blight maps most of them are t10+ half of them are t13+ and i got 1 golden oil and 2 exalt for all this, i remember teh last time i did it i could get 1 exalt every few maps, even t8 blight maps!!.....whats wrong now?

My biggest issue with Blight is not blight MAPS but blight ENCOUNTERS within regular maps. Any tips for those? Sometimes I completely stomp them, sometimes I get completely stomped and there's no seeming reason as to why they would be so dramatically different in terms of difficulties. Blighted Maps themselves I never have any issues with at all.
Hmm for those I often just use a chilling tower and meteor and assist more by attacking mobs which works well. I'm open to ideas from other people too :)
