  • Siegel's 1941 inside the El Cortez Casino
Address: El Cortez, 600 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101
    Hours: 7:00am-10:00pm Sunday-Thursday(Hours may vary)
24 hours on Friday and Saturday. On Opentable and Yelp it says its open 24 hours everyday, but I don't think that's the case. I went here at midnight on a Monday and they were closed.
Siegel's 1941 is a classic diner offering breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites. Its inside the vintage El Cortez casino in the East Fremont District of Las Vegas. Its named after Bugsy Siegel, a notorious mobster in the 1940's back when Las Vegas was ruled by the mob.
They have a Prime Rib Special here for $16.95 thats very popular and comes with a baked potato and vegetables. They also have a stone crab special on Friday and Saturdays from 5:00pm-10:00pm for $49.00. On Wednesdays if you are over 50 years old then you can get 50% off on certain items.
On Thanksgiving they will be having a special menu for $23.95 with players card and $28.95 without players that includes an Appetizer, Entree, and Dessert. For the appetizer you can choose between a Green Salad or Squash Soup. For the entree you can get turkey or ham with mashed or sweet potatoes, and green beans. and for Dessert Pumpkin, Pecan, or Apple Pie.
For our lunch today we got the Fish and Chips for $19.00, the Southern Fried Chicken for $17.00, and the Prime Rib Sandwich for $18.00, and a Rootbeer float to drink for $7.00. The total came out to be a little over $60 for everything.
Overall the food was not bad. I liked some things more than others. The Fish and Chips my favorite thing that I ate here. The other dishes were just okay. The service was pretty quick and didn't have to wait too long for the food to come out. The Fried Chicken tasted like it came straight from a Golden Corral Buffet and the Prime Rib Sandwich would have been better with cheese on it.
I ate the Fish and Chips at the Rampart Casino Earl's Grey Cafe and here's a link to that video so you can compare: • Earl Grey Cafe in the ...
    Vegas Downtown Loop

I ate at Carson Kitchen once before and it was great. I had the Fried Chicken Skins and the Oxtail Risotto. I will definitely have to go back and make a video in the future.

I think the reason fish and chicken and fries can be different daily depends on who made each although you want consistency. It still can be different when not the same person is just cooking these items where they have a better judgment on when enough time in fryer.also if it was one person if they were the only one getting suggestions on how it turned out they could experiment with adjusting the time in fryer that works the best for the flavor. Now with the vegetable less water and more steam would perk these up. Because you would get more taste out from the broccoli and cauliflower because it would be a little snap to each so when bit in to you get a stronger taste of each there gives a fresh taste to even frozen vegetables

Hear me out -- Popeyes has great fried chicken.

I like Popeyes fried chicken and their chicken sandwich too. When they first came out with their brand new chicken sandwich I waited over an hour in line at the drive thru for it. There was such a craze for their chicken sandwich I just had to go and see what the hype was about. I don't know if it was worth waiting such a long time for it but it was a pretty good chicken sandwich.
If I'm eating fried chicken I usually go to one of these local Korean Fried Chicken joints in the chinatown area. I have one video for Jongro Chickens but I plan on making more in the future of other places.

Yes Bansan you lay the smack down on those vegetables they did suck LOL😋😋😋 so the food man I don't know it just looks only so so.. I mean the fried fish yes but the nah, and forget about the slaw man it's hard to find good slaw anyway.
The fried chicken yes maybe but more fries how about mashed potatoes with gravy or something and some buttered Texas toast now we're talking. As far as the Sandwich goes no, it looked dry and just plain old sucked it needed some Gouda or some Provolone and sauteed onions and mushrooms that would have made it good and I hear about the fries you can only eat so many of them.

Haha yeah those veggies definitely weren't the best! And you are exactly right, the fried fish was good but everything else was just okay. Haha, I'm not a big fan of coleslaw in general either. Too much mayonnaise for me, haha. Mashed potatoes and texas toast would have been perfect with the fried chicken! Wish I could have gotten that instead of the vegetables, haha. And yeah, I can't believe it was just a plain meat and bread sandwich. There definitely needed to be some cheese or toppings on it at least. Or at least some horseradish sauce!
