    Hi Jade, My daughter loves your channel and has been so inspired by you. Your intuitive nature with horses and being able to train them the way you do is just simply quite incredible. I'm assuming this all comes naturally to you - I am not sure of your background if you have been formally trained/grew up with horses on a farm/etc. Anyway, all this to say that I think you should apply to be a trainer or part of the cast of OdysseO - a Canadian Arts company (part of Cavalia) that puts the horses care and treatment above everything else. You would be a fantastic part of their show - the cast loves horses as you do and are absolutely fearless, like yourself. My daughter is really great at gymnastics and loves horses like crazy and it was her idea to start training for the love of both things, but now she is planning to apply when she turns 18!! Thank you for the inspiration and teaching her so much!!

    Great video! The horse is beautiful :)
    But i have two questions (might sound stupid, but i normally ride in English-Style ^^ )
    Question one: Where is the sense in moving your horses head from one side to another while standing? (To stretch the neck? No, right? :'D )
    Question two: Why is there a rope connected to the saddle. What is that for?
    Best Whishes!
    Keep up your great work :))

    • @JadeAndSebring
      @JadeAndSebring  8 років тому

      1- it's called flexing, doing that from side to side and down keeps them from being stiff in their neck, so kind of like stretching you could say but not because they will pull a muscle necessarily, it keeps them soft and responsive to the bit if done right. 2- it's a lead rope and it's most convenient if it's there if I need to jump off and tie her somewhere on the trail or arena. It does nothing while riding

      @steppenwolfiniii5659 8 років тому

      JadeAndSebring Okay. I think i have heared of this before. Most Westernriders do this, right? Oh, cool. Seems very convenient like you said. Thanks for the answers!! :D Sorry that i write this so late... :/

    Wonderful, may I ask why you tie the lead rope to the saddle horn? Does it act as a sort of tie down, or is it just for the sake of convenience?

    • @JadeAndSebring
      @JadeAndSebring  8 років тому +6

      It's no where close to being tied to where it would be a tie down. Just there if I need to tie her quickly. Handy on the trails

    • @KMBonner
      @KMBonner 8 років тому

      That tie! My teacher taught it to me when I was little. Do you by any chance know that name of the knot/tie? I'd love to relearn it. :D

    • @ataysiaallon1168
      @ataysiaallon1168 8 років тому

      +K. M. Bonner it looked like a quick release knot from what I could see but I use that when riding in case I ever need to tie my horses or they won't walk on with the bridle.

    why are you riding an unsound horse? not meant to be a hate comment, but I had to ask because from glancing at your channel you seem to be a trainer of sorts, and usually trainers wouldn't work a horse that isnt sound

      There are plenty of people who ride horses that have arthritis. With care, there is no reason she could not be a light riding pony for kids which is who she got sold to. Better than going to auction and having someone buy her to sell to slaughter. If she was moping around a pasture with no energy, I would not have ridden her. If I had to push her and push her to get her to go into a walk trot or canter I would not have ridden her. A horse will tell you when they hurt to where they cannot be ridden even with something to help arthritis. She's not being worked as some cutting horse or roping horse so she was not being worked too hard. Very simple work was what she got, enough so I knew she would be good for the family she went to.

      @ElessarEquestrian 8 років тому

      +JadeAndSebring Okay thank you for replying. didn't realize it was arthritis. I still wouldn't w/t/c an arthritic horse but that's my choice so I'm not going to tell you what to do or whatever because everyone has their own opinions regarding horses so obviously there are going to be some disagreements. best of luck to you and your future with your horses!
