- I unbox the Thawalhi inflatable stand up paddle board and show you first hand what it’s like to unbox. I then review it and time how long it takes to inflate, followed by a water test to see how rigid and stable it is out on the water!
Great video and really informative, particularly the tips about the paddle and inflation! (gonna be stuffed the first few times too I reckon :)
Very good efforts for pumping up the paddle board, great work!!
Hi great review I just got one for Christmas haven’t tried it out yet we thought pump was Brocken but after reading reviews I found answers cheers 👍
Great review. Thanks. I may get one. Paddling tip: your top hand goes over the top of the handle. Google various paddling methods so you don’t need to switch sides every 1 or 2 strokes.
Thanks for the tip Ian!
We just got one. Found the best way to pump is a cheap 12v air mattress inflator with the board valve in the open position. That way you can fill with air very quickly as much as you can. Quickly remove the 12v inflator and close the board valve to hold air in. Then use the foot pump to get up to the recommended PSI
Thanks for the review. Not sure if I really want one after watching you pump it up which seemed like forever😂. Thanks for the entertaining music to go with it. I wonder if my coleman quick air pump would help with inflating it quicker?
Awesome and perfect review, thank you. Purchased the new Tahwalhi 10 minutes after watching this.
Legend has it he’s still pumping that board…
Thanks. Just bought one.
I found if I put my small Milwaukee 18v leaf blower on the back side of the pump where the hose is connected you can pump up the board with the pump connected . It took less than 2 mins then finish it off with the pump to get the correct pressure . All up board was at 15psi In 3 mins and super easy
Great Video mate. I was hoping there was some sort of product like the adaptor. Just wondering do you have a mount for the camera on the board or was it just sitting on the front?
I used a mount incase we went overboard
love this
What is the connection piece called that you bought for the electric pump please?
Tahwahli also sell a 12v air pump for inflating, plug it into the lighter socket in your car and good to go. I also noticed, from other videos, that the paddle is meant to be used the other way around. I know it doesn't look right, but apparently it is a more efficient way to paddle.
the 12v inflators aren't the best way, as you will have to be right beside your car to inflate. In most cases the car is far from the water, and if the parking lot is full how can you inflate your board? ideally the best solution is to have a battery powered inflator.
@@cameranmanner4701 yeah, been lucky so far with where I go. Not too crowded. Have noticed though that using the pump isn't that much faster than hand-pumping. Much easier though. 🙂
@@mattcarroll2725 lately I,ve been timing my inflation. (Hand pump) I use a cordless high volume inflator from ryobi. After that I use a hand pump. I can get the board inflated in 5 mins or less @ 12lbs. I'm not including the high volume inflator. That may be about 2 mins to fill. Once the inflator completes, I connect the hand pump to the board and quickly move to the 2nd board with the hand pump. That one takes a.bit longer as I am tired.
Thanks for the review👍 I was just wondering if everything that came in the box fit into the backpack and what the total weight of that was?🤔
Yes, everything fits in the back pack. Not sure on total weight but it is quite heavy.
Thanks, great review Tim. I just bought one online from BCF and it will arrive in a couple of weeks. Can you please put a link to the adapter in this post. I also just went and bought a Makita LXT 18V cordles inflator. (I have a bunch of Makita tools).
Link below, as I’ve said in other comments, you’ll be there for hours with only a hand held compressor. The Ryobi tool is good for doing the last 2 to 3 psi. If you have a stronger compressor then bonus!

great review - thanks :) can you please give me some info about the adaptor for the Ryobi air pump...
Hey Kerry - You can buy the adapter on eBay. It would be great with a bigger air compressor.- the little Ryobi one would take hours to inflate the entire board - I use the manual pump to get it to 10psi then use the ryobi to do the last 5. Here is a link to the adaptor. www.ebay.com/itm/393593213073?hash=item5ba3fbd091:g:52IAAOSwq0Zgimay
@@timpat89 thank you for responding to my question 🙏 much appreciated… will follow the link and grab the adaptor 👍🏼
Thanks for the vid. When did the gauge start showing the pressure? I pump mine up and the arrow doesn't move!
It takes a while! The board needs to be almost rock hard
@@timpat89 cool thanks. Didn't want to pop it 😂
Did you have any problems with the pump and measuring the psi? I got one for Christmas and the pump does not measure the psi am just wondering if I’m doing something wrong
It doesn’t measure until you get to around 10 to 12 psi
Hi, on the pump I note it has a another little adapter hanging off. Does that plug in or no?
The grey plug on the pump makes either single or double acting. In, it pumps on up and down strokes, out, it only pumps on down stroke. Makes it easier to pump those last few psi
Why were u kneeling all the time?
Hey mate, how have you been going with this after 4 months?
Love it! Still going strong.
Can I see you using it on sand? Perhaps Fraser island?
maybe in another review down the track! would you like to make an appearance?
How stable is it when standing up? I know there are other brands which sucks with stability.
I find it quite good
ya that is not a measuring cup it's the tool for you air valve.
