Nowadays people don't make movies like these, because they lack such heart touching stories, great direction and natural actors. Gulzar Sahab is such a visionary who always focused on narrating art rather than going for commercialism. My heartiest respect to the late Sanjeev Kumar ji... what an amazing n subtle actor. Only he could pull up such characters of playing old aged in his 30s. I miss him whenever I watch his movies. "Mausam" is an evergreen classic... can't hold back my tears. ❤

The most versatile actor.i have ever seen in Indian cinema. People talk about Dilip Kumar, Amitabh and many others but with all due respect i would like to say Sanjeev Kumar was above all. I have recently seen two movies Namkeen and this one. That must have been golden period of Indian cinema, so realistic, so natural and heart whelming. I have recently seen a movie Satyakam of. Dharmenra and Sharmila Tagore, and Sanjeev Kumar. That was as exceptional movie too.
Now I also believe the same. For the past few months I have been watching all of Sanjeev ji's movies. I finished with Koshish, Khilona, Anamika, Naya din nayi raat, Ladies Tailor, Naukar, Angoor, Parichay, Aandhi, Namkeen, Mausam.... and I felt like he is the most versatile, good looking and natural actor, even better than his contemporaries. Sad part is he lived so short and that is the reason people talk less of him. For me he will always be the real "Sadi ke Mahanayak". ❤

Before watching I had read about the small description that we see in Google About section. I was thinking, how will be the reaction of Sanjeev Kumar when he listens about Chanda's death, and how will be his reaction when he finds out that his daughter is in a Brothel. I was keen to see how Gulzar makes the plot. And I am speechless now. How beautifully the whole story is shown. How can such complex emotions be shown in such a simple way !! Drama at its purest and most realistic form. The way Sanjeev kumar has acted, I felt the pain as my own. Amarnath's break down at @51:12 wow, that few seconds is enough to show what Sanjeev Kumar is capable of. And that sad part of Dil dhundta hai at @43:14 , uff.. What a gem this movie is !

The most versatile actor.i have ever seen in Indian cinema. People talk about Dilip Kumar, Amitabh and many others but with all due respect i would like to say Sanjeev Kumar was above all. I have recently seen two movies Namkeen and this one. That must have been golden period of Indian cinema, so realistic, so natural and heart whelming. I have recently seen a movie Satyakam of. Dharmenra and Sharmila Tagore, and Sanjeev Kumar. That was as exceptional movie too.
Now I also believe the same. For the past few months I have been watching all of Sanjeev ji's movies. I finished with Koshish, Khilona, Anamika, Naya din nayi raat, Ladies Tailor, Naukar, Angoor, Parichay, Aandhi, Namkeen, Mausam.... and I felt like he is the most versatile, good looking and natural actor, even better than his contemporaries. Sad part is he lived so short and that is the reason people talk less of him. For me he will always be the real "Sadi ke Mahanayak". ❤

Before watching I had read about the small description that we see in Google About section. I was thinking, how will be the reaction of Sanjeev Kumar when he listens about Chanda's death, and how will be his reaction when he finds out that his daughter is in a Brothel. I was keen to see how Gulzar makes the plot. And I am speechless now. How beautifully the whole story is shown. How can such complex emotions be shown in such a simple way !! Drama at its purest and most realistic form. The way Sanjeev kumar has acted, I felt the pain as my own. Amarnath's break down at @51:12 wow, that few seconds is enough to show what Sanjeev Kumar is capable of. And that sad part of Dil dhundta hai at @43:14 , uff.. What a gem this movie is !
