Taylor is a vocal TITAN. All Regina’s are obviously talented vocalists, but Taylor is otherworldly. And I say this as a Reneé stan; there’s a reason she was the original Regina. The part was written for her voice.
I come from the future. The movie was great and Renee did great as Regina again. My favorite characters were Janice and Damion and my favorite song was the song Karen sings at the Halloween party.
I can't believe the Regina I saw live is now playing her in the film! I can't really compare but I loved her acting. She legitimately looked and acted nearly exactly as a popular girl at my school back then, and that just made the experience so much better😂
I gotta appreciate Park Soe-young here! Despite me not knowing the language and just the English translation she so effortlessly was able to capture to sassy/in control energy that Regina has in this moment. Super underrated!

I saw (well, did spotlights for) a show of Mean Girls for my local professional teens theater, and the actor of Regina sounded *JUST* like Taylor, it’s insane.
Love Taylor so so much but I’m gonna have to go with Renée. I love seeing young talent and I think it’s really impressive that she could sing that well at only 19. Also, she is closer to Regina’s age than Taylor :)
You cant compare a live performance to a studio recorded performance. Renee Rapp is incredible but for fair comparison lets stick to live vocals and not a video she probably had several takes to get perfect. (Or not because she is that good)
her live performances are of a similar quality. It is weird they didn't use her live version because it is incredible and in some moments even better than that performance.
I know this version of Mariah’s is good quality audio wise but it would’ve before she worked on the show and actually had any training and experience of singing it. Personally I felt she did even better live!
Compared to Taylor, Renee’s long and high notes just sound smoother ngl.. her voice can actually hit those notes where Taylor’s voice can’t quite get to that smooth level. Taylor’s voice isn’t meant to go so high. However Caileen Fu sounds really good!! Also, Tabatha has the attitude so perfectly imo! Even her voice fits, she can hit the perfect high notes that really sound like Regina.
I have a question for the last version of this song from The musical of mean girls, in Which language was that Version?... Sorry but the sound was too loud to me and the vocals wasn't loud enough to identify the language
Seo-young wasn’t my favorite vocalist but she was serving looks!!! And honestly anyone who can sing this is somebody I have massive respect for. This song is tough!
I agree!! it’s not that she doesn’t have talent, she obviously has SO much talent for being able to sing this incredibly hard song, it’s just she relied on her mixy type voice, her vowel pronunciation was a little undefined, and her tone is just not my favorite. I prefer Renee or Taylor but she still has so much talent!!
Nadina Hassan is the worst Regina! Renee was the best to do the OG justice. Samantha Pauly was too old for the part and still couldn’t hit all the notes.

It’s a fan cover and so the karaoke track she’s using has the burn book insults in English already but yes the syllables in Korean actually do fit.
