We The Biate tribe are living in our present homeland since before the British ruled in India and before the creation of meghalaya state,after meghalaya was carved out from Assam,the Biates became the indegenious minority tribe in meghalaya and Assam recognised as under any Kuki (Biate) Tribe.we all should respect Human rights in india.......

The Biates are indigenous to Meghalaya. They are a trans-border tribe just like the Garo and Khasi-Pnar. Just as the Garo and Khasi-Pnar people are also found in Assam, Bangladesh, so are the Biates in Meghalaya, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.
