Man, the number of times Riddles was able to electric through Rob Nair or Bair this set was actually insane. It almost got to the point where Zomba was scared to try to hit him with any landing ariels, in fear that they'd just lose to an invincible option. Makes me think Kazuya has a pretty good matchup against characters that use a lot of landing ariels (Fox, Greninja, etc.)

@@imnotgonnasugarcoatit Well, I know what you mean, even though it can be easily mashed out until 170%, it's hard to go for it at this particuliar moment in a huge tournament because you need to mix up the mash, and you need a good position, in this aspect I agree with you, it's clearly not easy I meant it was easy because it's quite doable and fast to get out of the down throw until ridiculous % with a good mash haha
This matchup is so stressful for Kaz. Rob can take your stocks almost just as quickly, but he has a much easier time landing hits not to mention the projectiles is a bunch of free damage on Kaz as even quickly evened up the 2-0 deficit. Kazuya is better then Rob though at sheer damage/burst if he actually land a throw/EWGF on a fresh stock and that quick stock kill in game 5 was the momentum change he needed

Now, put them in the hands of two rising stars with fierce playstyles and have them play for their tournament lives. It's full throttle. You can kinda get a sense for how the two are feeling just by watching their characters move around, and that reveals the complete control and intentionality both have with their respective mains. I just think there's something inspiring about that. I didn't want either to lose...
@@turntech4776 i think with tilt stick instead of smash attacks it’s a macro that Kazuya players use. I’m not sure if Riddles uses it but I saw it gain a little traction a couple of weeks after Kazuya’s release!
I don’t know If it’s just Kazuya struggling to get in, or Riddles nerves, but Riddles was mashing so much when he was losing. Excited to see Riddles get more experience because when he can shake those nerves he’s going to be even more dangerous. Amazing set!!
Kazuya isn't scary if you keep him at a distance and only go in for damage. Like everyone says his disadvantage state is damn near worst in the game. Riddles panicked because he was trying really hard to get back in. Zomba was doing great keeping him out and stuffing all riddles approach attempts. If he would have kept up the speed he probably would have won. Riddles was like Garou or some shit, he was in disadvantage but dude kept getting faster and faster .
