Yoo thanks for the tutorial. Love your tutorials bcs they're really detailed. Still really frustrated with my inward click roll. My problem is that i tend to roll the "r" while trying to do a click roll. it's like inhaling air while doing the r in the throat. it's frustrating for me bcs it sometimes sounds like a click roll while it isn't. Anyways, I will follow your steps and try harder! thanks for your tutorials, (i found you through a comment from yourself under one of my r/beatbox questions)
The missing piece of information is what specific part of the tong is made to vibrate. if you push the underside of your tongue up to your palate, do you suck air through one side, say left, where the tongue is relaxed? Left part of the front of the tongue? in the back? against your teeth? A drawing might help.
The bottom part of the tongue touching the palate, while inhaling air by the middle is what makes it vibrate (for both tongue positions: middle or side). Easy way : fold your tongue in C shape and inhale, you will feel the vibration. Relaxedness comes with practice in the sale position Here's a drawing: i.imgur.com/DsIqkqn.png - keep in mind airflow is inward, by the middle.
Man im unable to bend my tongue like that. I can do the middle click roll just fine but I just cant bend my tongue to the side like you do. Is it matter of muscle strength in the tongue?
This probably has to go with your genetics. In that case it is not possible to fold your tongue. Some people can't shape it in W or as shown in this tutorial. Maybe try again but if you still get stuck, it is sadly not possible to get over it! Therefore, I'm 100% you can learn the Inward K snare click roll with a middle click roll - so go for that way!
@@Nazcabeats thanks for the response. I'm also trying to learn the frosty's meow squeak roll using the click roll. I'm not sure if its even possible with the middle click roll. Do you have any ideas if its possible without the side click roll?
i can do the inward click roll in the middle but i can't fathom the one on the side. how does your tounge do that lol? and i still dont really understand the placement of the tounge..

Air makes the tongue roll over the palate. No 'r' roll involved in this sound! You're welcome!
I've struggled with this sound for a decade, hope this video can help xD
Let me know!

You need to fold your tongue by the side. Try both sides to find the most comfortable position
