I am a beginer and this is the second song I learn. I have practiced this song every day with this video and I have not left a thank you message. By the way, your voice is sweet 💕. I appreciate your effort.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. From the chorus "trust in me when I say ⬇️_x⬆️⬇️⬆️_ then G7 Oh, pretty ⬆️_⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️⬆️⬇️, is it correct? It's just that when I sing "trust in me when I saaaaay, it seems long.
Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry I could not reply sooner. The next verse "Oh pretty...." starts in the middle of G7 chord part, as below: G G7 ↓ _ X ↑ ↓ ↑ ↑ _ ↑ ↓ ↑ ↓ ↑ ↓ _ "Trust in me when I saaaaaaa- ay Oh pre- tty I hope this answers to your question.
You are right, 2223 is D7. But actually, so is 2020 also. The difference is that for 2020, the root note (D) is omitted, but it's a lot easier to play. And I think the difference in sound is little for this song. (Some people call 2020 "Hawaiian D7.") But If you can and want to play 2223, please do so. (Renee actually uses 2223.) Happy playing!

@@eurekauke9246 Thank you so much for your time in answering my question. 🙂
Why D7 is different here? It's 2223 in the chord chart.
