Why is it that all of my hobbies involve "shows" that require you to attend with a totebag full of cash? LOL!
Because you have wonderful taste in hobbies? 🤷♀️😂
Hello Mara how are you doing
Hi, Just had to write that I think your the cutest and I can say that as I am an 88 yr old grandma. You remind me of all the dreams and wishes one gets when first into sewing. Thank you for making my day such a joy...love it.
Oh thank you! You are just the sweetest and have totally made my day and month! I'm so thankful to have you watch, and know we would be great friends!
I have been watching your videos' about QuiltCon 2023. Saw this clip from 2022 quilt con. And I kept thinking of Sue Spargo and her ability to turn good looking pieces/quilts into wonderful art pieces. This book of Sues' is a great modern day collection of old age embroidery! It is definitely a resource of mine.
I am so glad you shared that Regina. They are art pieces for sure. Just so amazing to see everyones talent. ❤
Absolutely no apologies needed. Stash building is part of our world, whether we’re making clothes or quilts. I love fabric and notions and threads and on and on. My guess is most of us operate the same way lol. See fabric love fabric buy fabric. No plan for the fabric but just looking at it is satisfying.
Yes, I love your outlook. Can we ever have too much fabric???
You really don’t have to justify your purchases to me. I get ya!!😜
You have so many random goodies. When you sew a mariners compass, you will only make one, they are paper pieced and really easy. Happy quilting, and hand embroidery.
This one wasn't using the paper piecing method! Thats what struck me as so interesting. Its more strip piecing. Thanks for watching 🤩
Hello Renne how are you doing
Looks like you had a wonderful trip! Love the variegated threads!!
They are so amazing to sew with. I need them in every single color available now 😂😂
An amazing haul such beautiful things glad you had a great time
Our Miss Butter Dog (Full name, Idgie Buttercup Marie Barksalot) has told me she would like an ornament as well. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.
oh goodness. I love your dog already. - You'll never guess our dog's full name... 😂😂 Butterscotch James Maxwell Phillips & Vader Winston Lightsaber Phillips 😂😂 My absolute favorite part is when we go to the vet and I pause and wait for them to say the entire name when they walk in to address them... And yes, if they are in trouble, we certainly use every single one of their names. lol
What a wonderful fun time, it sounds like you and your daughter had. You got lots of fun things. I love seeing all of your treasures and hearing your stories. Great memories for both of you. ❤❤
Thank you so much and yes... we had a wonderful time. Thank you for watching my videos, Shauna 😘😘
Sweet Pea is in my home town here Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️ love there stuff.
aw! They did amazing at the show. Their booth was packed solid with people. 💗💗🙌
Omg! Love everyone you purchased! ❤️
Yay! Thank you! I'm going to be a busy girl for a while 🤩🤩
Just loved everything!! ❤❤❤❤thank you so much for sharing! Love your teaching style!
I appreciate you letting me know 😘😘 Thank you for watching
Please tell me you’re going to the one next year!? My mom and I would LOVE to meet you and have lunch!❤
Do you meant Quilt Festival in Houston next year? Because I will absolutely be there! - If you are referring to another quilt show, let me know... I try to travel and attend if I am able to 🥳 Also, I would be delighted to meet up with you and your mom!
@@ISeeStarsQuilting yes the quilting festival in Houston! We look forward to seeing you there! 💕 we will email you when it gets closer and we can plan lunch! ☺️
You had a great time shopping!!!! Love that little bag with the ruffles. So cute! Great haul! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! I couldn't leave without the black and yellow ruffle bag 😂
Shows are so much fun. Nice haul.
Thank you 😘
Love handstitching. It's so relaxing. Love all you bought. Sue Spargo is great. Love your threads. You did good girl!!!!
Thank you so much!
Love your shopping. I shop the same way. Only it's not pink for me, but RED. If it's red, it's coming home with me. And if it has stars or moons,, no way am I leaving it behind. LOL Thanks for sharing.
Cynthia this was extremely refreshing to read 🥰🤩 you get me!
Great haul. Great shopping. And yes, pink n shiny is definitely legit. Tfs, hugs, Chel 🌸
Thank you! 🤗 I think we just became best friends 😂😁
Miss you thanks for all the tutorials ❤️
I miss you too sweet girl 😘😘 Hope you are doing well and enjoying sewing in Florida!
Thank you so much for sharing. I took am trying to get back to hand embroidery.
I really am absolutely in awe of the works that people create... not sure I will ever be among the greats, but I'm having a fun time trying 😘
I was in that embroidery class with you. I picked the green one as well. So cute.
Hey! That is awesome. It was such a fun class 🙌🌟😍
Thanks for the nice shout out and yes, give your ruler a try! 😀
Thank YOU for watching! I can't wait to play with them.... I was looking at some fabric last night and thinking about how to use your rulers with them 🙌😘
@@ISeeStarsQuilting I had a new customer tell me that they found out about my rulers from your video - thank YOU! 😀
@@robinlong3175 really?!? Oh I love my subscribers... They're really the sweetest people. I still am completely genuinely interested in working with you one day on something. I gotta alger through the quilt with your rulers and the end of the year first though 🤣 THEN I'll be emailing you 🤩
I live in Houston and I’m preparing for the quilt festival 2023 here, and thanks so much for sharing videos on your experience (and haul). Question: will you be hosting any retreats within the next year?
The next one is in February.
Loved that. I am in 🇬🇧 and went to my first (very small by comparison) show in late 2019 and due to lockdown and "life" have not managed another yet but am hopeful for next year.
I have done and learned so much since the first, I believe I will be dangerous when unleashed with bag and wallet.
Thanks for sharing 🥰
haha... you will not be alone! There is an energy in the air of a gathering of quilters 😂😂 It is the best! I hope you get to attend another show soon! - Make sure you check out my video of all the show quilts that I took photos of
I am right there with you, both dogs need an ornament! I have three dogs and I am constantly explaining to the hubby why I bought three things!
LOL Glad I'm not the only one 😂
I got a couple thread cutters too. They are located in Lake Jackson if you are in Houston. Love mine
I know! They're so close 🥰
Can’t you just say you “collect” Japanese fabrics and just admire them? 😆 I’m a total ribbon junkie - the good stuff - and I hate using it because then it will go away. I decided that I collect ribbon and that it’s okay to do that! (Of course I use it for fancy packages, but NOT for every gift!
A ribbon collector, I love it!
You shop like I shop. It must have been all those years in scouting with that "Be Prepared" theme that runs through it. Also I love your undershot doggos. I have an undershot doggo too, I love those faces. What a pleasure to see all your goodies. I am super tempted to purchase Robin Ruth's compass kit but I think it might be a little too premature on my part. I'm just trying a hexie thing out of triangles and think I'd better get through that first. Thanks for sharing!
Be prepared 😂 I'm so using that as my excuse/reason now lol Thank you! 🤩
Hello Jane how are you doing
Thanks so much for sharing! The Houston quilt show is on my bucket list. I hope I can make it there one day but in the meantime, I really appreciate your videos on the festival.
Oh I would love for you to cross off that bucket list item 🤩 Its worth it!
Aww I missed your video. At the Drs office. Can't wait to see the goodies🧵
My videos are always available for beautiful girls like you, miss 😘😘 Hope you got to catch up afterwards!
@@ISeeStarsQuilting aww thx! Watching right now😘👍
#8 is perfect for hand Embroidery because there's No...pulling strands apart when buying the colors by the skein
Yes, its a great thickness to show delicate stitching work too.
On the first (I think) fabric you showed (paisley/floral/bee/butterfly), who is manufacturer (e.g., Moda)? I would love to buy some of that for myself!
I wonder what those threads cost, very nice.
I loved seeing your visit to Quilt Festival... I am interested to learn more of the gem journals you and your daughter bought. Can you give me the brand/name of them please? They look like a great idea for my teenage grandchildren.
PS: you have discovered the world of embroidery and wool felt embroidery.... good luck!
I don't remember the name of the company that had the gem journals! I'm sorry - but I did a quick search on amazon and found TONS of options in every price point. I hope this helps you find one for your grandkids amzn.to/3Ao7iWl If you search "gem painting ____" you may be able to find other products too 🤩🤩
Moda is just like the 1980's Cheaters fabric but ...in today's style...kinda fun
It is kind of a cheater fabric... I totally agree, but not in a cheesy way? Thanks for watching my video 🤩🤩
I am like you, except with everything purple!!
I love purple too! - But sometimes you have to pick one main color or you end up living in crayon box of alllll the bright colors (ask me how I know from when we first got married and I had full decor control in our apartment lol)
I was wondering the name of the company that makes the thread cutter on a leash. So cute and practical. Thanks for sharing with us.
It is Thread Cutters! I LOVE them! www.threadcutterz.com/
Is the jewel kit a diamond painting kit?
You certainly did well at the Houston Show. I used to go and come home with plenty also. Such a fun event.
Yes. If you look online for diamond painting or gem painting you'll find tons of options 😍
You’re so cute…. UFO’s bug me too… I have to actually sit down and force myself to slowly finish things… I get so easily distracted by “researching”… aka UA-cam 😂😂😂
lol UA-cam can get the best of all of our intentions to be productive 😂😂
@@ISeeStarsQuilting I solved it last night by binge watching you, while I cut squares for my first 2” square quilt … that I’ve been planning and cutting squares for since I got my first sewing machine 7 years ago 😂 At least I have added to the magical tin o’ squares!
Your link to Amazon says sorry this page not found with a dog on it.
Wish i could have seen what you got but unfortunately the video was very blurry.
I would love to contribute what I can to the Ukrainian people. Can you tell me what I need to do? Thanks!
I would contact the organization and see what help they are in need of most right now. There are a lot of charities that are doing work to help people over there. Consider donating to a charity that is actually on the ground there and can tell you 100% where all of your donations are going to. Thank you for your sweet heart 😘😘
You bought a lot of good stuff good for you ❣️🪡🧵✂️💕💖❤️
I think so too! Thank you 🤩🤩
